Urban Livestock Workshop

In early April Filbert Street Garden's animal husbandry team gave a workshop about the care, habitats, and requirements for livestock permitted in Baltimore City including; chickens, miniature goats, potbelly pigs, rabbits, and honeybees. We toured some of their habitats, discussed each animal's needs, and the permitting process requirements.Our workshop was hosted by Charles DeBarber, an Animal Husbandry Expert at Filbert Street Garden. He specializes in beekeeping, but cares for goats, sheep, fowl, and waterfowl. He has 9 years of experience in the Baltimore Urban Ag scene.
