Well, when you have limited amount of 6*s and 5*s to take, it's better to sacrifice vanguards since sometimes stages are easily cleared even without them.
777ucky have you tried to learn how to turn the difficulty up? There are apparently 3 levels easy, normal and Hard you can try asking Just3c how to turn the difficulty up. I just mentioned this because I remember you saying in the stream that you're units were to over-levelled.
