  • Stodolní Street. Ostrava, Czech Republic. 21 May 2024.
Stodolní Street is a street in the city centre of Ostrava. It is a unique phenomenon of Ostravian social life. The street itself and its closest surroundings offers tens of bars, restaurants and clubs, which are abundantly visited by young people, especially during the weekends. The popularity of this street had led to increased criminality, leading to police patrols and CCTV controlling it. The street was reconstructed in 2006.

This used to be the good nightlife street like 15 years ago, since then a lot has changed. Many people stopped going there because its now full of homeless people, gypsies and kids who go there just to drink and fight. The new hotspot in centre is by the river.

Greek nightlife might be good, but Greek cities are hideous.

@@patrikuschungus4713 This is because they are too crowded with low-rise buildings due to frequent earthquakes. The houses themselves are nice, but the whole cities look chaotic. But one thing I agree with, they would look much nicer if they would be cleaner. Greeks are very clean when it comes to their properties and self hygien, but very disrespectful outside their homes.
