This the playstyle that I envisioned for this character: Finding openings to convert Manon's combos into grabs, accumulating stacks to max as early as possible, and constantly pressuring your opponent by keeping them in close proximity and have them guessing. This Manon executes and highlights her strengths perfectly.
try playing her you will end most matches (not rounds, MATCHES!) without ever reaching medal 5. And exactly level 5 is the biggest step. Every other step before level 4 to 5 combined is worth about as much damage increase as level 4 to 5 by itself. Also theres a reason why 3 out of the 4 characters shown here are non fireball characters. Manon is trash. If you can make her work you can pick up any other character and do much better.
As a scrub Manon player, being able to grab like that comes from players actually respecting you. Lower level players who mash jab will beat the throws majority of the time
@@mrboigren1009 you can use Dégagé qcb med kick ( sliding on the ground one i cant remeber) to beat jabs and get in close. after thatyou can rond point that will beat button spam unless they use bar. the first one has super short frames that really cant be reacted and the second is a 50/50 between your command grab or going into combo. Im bad at explaining but i hope this helps against other scrubs.
I've seen some videos where people said you kinda actually have to condition your opponent to guard instead of trying to interrupt your attack. So when you reel them in they'll be expecting a couple of LPS or LKS and instead you catch them with a command grab. Apparently this is a big part of manon's play style. Forcing people to keep having to guess if they have to jump back or guard.
As a grappler, your most important aspect is actually the threat of the command grab, not landing the command grab itself. It's actually super important for any players, especially people in lower levels, to understand that enforcing respect is always the first step, because you need to make sure people will stand still for your command grabs. In your matches, try focusing on beating mashing and jumps when you're at an advantage, because this way you'll punish them and you'll either deal damage or condition them to stand still for future opportunities when you'll be able to command grab them easily.
So I’m learning Manon alongside Marisa, and this is honestly a cool video to pick up on some tricks here and there. Until today, I just thought I needed to rely on patience, timing, and a little luck.

I hate her. Makes me miss Mika. Manon messes up the natural order of things. Your supposed to condition your opponent to take a grab, not just grab over and over to level up. Then she gets overheads?! Sad highlight videos will start with 2 or more throws. Then guess for game.

That poor Lily. Manon had an answer for every option, even her “good” ones.
Longtime Birdie player who manages to get tons of grabs off? This is the Manon I've been waiting for, this guy's my new idol.
I don't play sf6, but he sure was my idol during late SFV. Best Birdie! 🤘🤘
Manon's fights always look so pretty. Still learning the controls, good to watch these matches as motivation.
The robbery agaisnt Dee Jay 😅 the player have amazing reads, very enjoyable video, thanks a lot !!
4:57 That is absolutely insane
try playing her

Now you learned that you just have to rely on your opponents making bad decisions, being unable to counter DI and getting good matchup RNG.
This character with reads feels almost unfair sometimes, but man, you CAN NOT guess wrong or become predictable.
So... all he doing is a normal Manon GamePlay, he is just smart
The 5 minute mark- that is definitely a soundtrack from Tekken 6 or 7

Wow!.. Just wow!
Round and round she goes
This is really inspiring
goofy ahh critical art 😂 love this character, sunhui makes manon look so fluid
The Manon army will overcome.
Two grab 80% damage 👍
Damn Zhe got big feet!
Very strong with the drive gauge
at 0:15, is Sunhui doing a forward dash in to get that grab? The range is tripping me out 0_0
I think its because it was a counter. the rashid was probably jabbing or something. I'm not sure tho
This is pure art
Blanka looking like an Angry Tomato
Interesting opponent looking forward to put her out of comisión
is this ballet or a fighting game?
Why not both?💋
Im in plat and my opponents play better than that rashid.
One match doesn't dictate how good you play. That rashid has highlights on this page as well
They seem better because they are playing you and you are free
Nothing special relying too much on throwing and grab

No one's forcing you to go play Manon. Street Fighter 5 still has Mika.
Just Jump the Throw and Parry the Overhead it ain't that deep
You don't even have to parry the overhead. It's already really minus on block.
You still have to Condition, just guessing differently
Brother man if you haven't figured out when to look for overhead on this character, there is no saving you
Entonces mano solo necesita un agarre con 5 medallas y un combo con 3 barras para matarte q puerco
