Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I am crying as I listen to this. I am 72 years old and have been dealing with hearing lose since I was 40 and 3 sets of hearing aides over these many years and increasing difficulty. I am an RN and had to retire at 60 because could no longer hear alarms on equipment and was fearful of hearing doctors order correctly. I loved my career.Eventually the hearing aides gave me no clarity and I went for years pretending I could hear. Finally gave up, became isolated,no participating in much because of frequent embarrassment, feeling like I had dementia and depression. My last visit to audiologist they told me they could no longer program my hearing aides to help me with clarity. Sent to U of M and am in process now of CT and MRI and other necessary preparation. No kidding, I am scared but can’t live the rest of my life like this not being able to hear my grandchildren and great grandchildren. This interview with a real person who has been where I am now was a blessing as well as the technical information. Thank you, I will look for more.Linda
