But that even gives more value to abysal mask since it's the cheapest MR item to build and even when there are 2 AD's you may have to build some MR because of a jungle karthus for example, or a lux support who takes kills xd. Well, as an Udyr OTP I like the item, but just the other day a brand almost oneshot me trough liandries, DMP, mercs and Force of nature... damage is so high that basically need a fkn kaenic rookern as tanks to even survive one brand combo lol. (And no I wasn't behind).

And mercs are significantly more expensive to buy than before, so in lane you wont deal with them as much/as early. The nerf to boots is an interesting one, and I'm starting to wonder if boots should even really be used at this point. The steel plate one isn't so bad... But when you think about it, when you're deep into late game you sell the boots for an item anyway, so why not just save 800-1100 gold and go for an item. You could also just get basic boots for 300 and treat it like a dorans blade or dorans ring and use it for that short early game and sell it later if you're worried about getting to lane faster.

actually mages get a little bit of a buff in the early game with the boots changes. Lets say you are lategame and have pen boots and void staff. old version: 25*0,6=15-18=-3 // new version: 20*0,6=12-15=-3 // in that calc its the same BUT without void staff it is old version: 25-18 = 7 // new version: 20-15=5 so you have 2 more pen if the enemy goes mercs but 3 less pen if enemy goes no mercs.
Abyssal should cost like 2800 with all the stuff it gives, and it should be a tank specific item. WTF IS THIS???? Now suddenly all the mele/close range mages are gonna buy this item. At this point crtibloom should give 50 ap 10 haste with 40 pen as well as Void but with much less ap and haste.
Regarding Zed, I actually kinda like the changes. They seem to be shifting some of his power from late game into early game which should be, if I am not mistaken, more of a high elo buff due to the games being shorter there (and Zed is notoriously bad in high elo). Also, they seemingly want him to be slightly more consistent at the expense of his scaling, which doesn't sound horrible (considering how awfully useless he is when behind and how oppressive he can be when ahead). In addition to that, I don't think his E was buffed that much in the end. At max rank, his W refunds 50 energy if he hits a target twice with a single spell. This means that his E, when used together with W, will no longer result in a net gain of 10 energy but will be net neutral, which is a big change. To illustrate this, assume he has E maxed, always has a shadow up (not necessarily completely unrealistic if he can refund the cooldown from multiple champions) and has no additional CDR: in 12 seconds he can currently cast E 4 times and gain 40 net energy, while with the proposed changes he will be only able to cast it 3 times and gain no net energy from it. On top of all of that, the cooldown increase on E means that he will overall have W up less often (due to fewer cooldown refunds from E), which I believe is a significant nerf in the mid-late game. While I do agree that the huge jump in bAD scaling on E is a bit questionable, you have to keep in mind that the ability doesn't do that much damage on it's own at the moment (as E damage is only applied once, even if both yours and the shadow's E hit) and he will be able to cast it less often due to the cooldown increase. EDIT: I do realize that I am overstating the nerf to the net E energy refund as well as the nerf to E spam in general (as Zed is an assassin, meaning that he prefers high damage non-spammable spells over the opposite) but I believe that my points are still valid.

If you have both voidstaff and abyssal mask that will be 58% magic pen then by shadow flame and boots for another 27 flat pen and you will 100 mr into 15 and ppl have 100 mr only if they have a full mr item xD.

The steelcaps change is like a very very very slight nerf due to the -5 armor and extra 100 gold. However, they also nerfed lucidity boots which is Riven most common boot choice.

I don't get boots nerf, just slowing down the game by delaying the purchase
actually mages get a little bit of a buff in the early game with the boots changes. Lets say you are lategame and have pen boots and void staff. old version: 25*0,6=15-18=-3 // new version: 20*0,6=12-15=-3 // in that calc its the same BUT without void staff it is old version: 25-18 = 7 // new version: 20-15=5 so you have 2 more pen if the enemy goes mercs but 3 less pen if enemy goes no mercs.
i forgot about the gold changes... nvm you kinda only get 2 more pen if you go sorcs and enemy goes mercs but you both have to pay 100g more

Abyssal should cost like 2800 with all the stuff it gives, and it should be a tank specific item. WTF IS THIS???? Now suddenly all the mele/close range mages are gonna buy this item. At this point crtibloom should give 50 ap 10 haste with 40 pen as well as Void but with much less ap and haste.
Regarding Zed, I actually kinda like the changes. They seem to be shifting some of his power from late game into early game which should be, if I am not mistaken, more of a high elo buff due to the games being shorter there (and Zed is notoriously bad in high elo). Also, they seemingly want him to be slightly more consistent at the expense of his scaling, which doesn't sound horrible (considering how awfully useless he is when behind and how oppressive he can be when ahead).
In addition to that, I don't think his E was buffed that much in the end. At max rank, his W refunds 50 energy if he hits a target twice with a single spell. This means that his E, when used together with W, will no longer result in a net gain of 10 energy but will be net neutral, which is a big change. To illustrate this, assume he has E maxed, always has a shadow up (not necessarily completely unrealistic if he can refund the cooldown from multiple champions) and has no additional CDR: in 12 seconds he can currently cast E 4 times and gain 40 net energy, while with the proposed changes he will be only able to cast it 3 times and gain no net energy from it. On top of all of that, the cooldown increase on E means that he will overall have W up less often (due to fewer cooldown refunds from E), which I believe is a significant nerf in the mid-late game.
While I do agree that the huge jump in bAD scaling on E is a bit questionable, you have to keep in mind that the ability doesn't do that much damage on it's own at the moment (as E damage is only applied once, even if both yours and the shadow's E hit) and he will be able to cast it less often due to the cooldown increase.
EDIT: I do realize that I am overstating the nerf to the net E energy refund as well as the nerf to E spam in general (as Zed is an assassin, meaning that he prefers high damage non-spammable spells over the opposite) but I believe that my points are still valid.
There will more often than not be more situations where you won't hit 2 Es on the same target though.

the e cooldown is not a big thing you are already limited due to engery, not the cd itself. I will probably run presence of mind as secondary rune now.

With all these changes Cassio will definitely be meta, but because of marksmen in mid guess where she will go? Correct, to toplane and bully melee champs again. You know mages can't stack on magic pen this season. In my opinion playing mage assassin like evelynn you can get full countered with 1 kaenic rookern, which is diabolical. So the nerf to mercs is amazing in my opinion.

So many weird changes, strange Yasuo buffs, stupid Yone nerfs (the champ is only not complete dogshit because funny Absorb Life rune), strange Zed changes, Abyssal Mask getting closer to fucking Void Staff for some reason. At least the boot changes and Null mantle changes are pretty good imo. Also lucidity boots are hella good on champs like Aatrox, Panth, Voli, those bruisers who wanna spam their kit, so its a deserved nerf too.

The worst thing is that this supposed buff is probably a net nerf in reality. 100 seconds on rank 3 R is obviously ridiculous especially considering the fact that few years ago it was 60 seconds plus the Q changes are a buff in early to mid game but later on with a lot of bonus AD from items, the 10% less bAD scaling on Q is a nerf. If you have both voidstaff and abyssal mask that will be 58% magic pen then by shadow flame and boots for another 27 flat pen and you will 100 mr into 15 and ppl have 100 mr only if they have a full mr item xD.
You can’t build two % pen items, the same way you can’t build syrildas with cleaver or ldr, you can’t build more than one of void crypt or abyssal

@@evanstock9134 Considering most Riven dmg comes from empowered autos and steelcap change has been increased to 10% AA damage reduction. The steelcaps change is like a very very very slight nerf due to the -5 armor and extra 100 gold. However, they also nerfed lucidity boots which is Riven most common boot choice.

Yone's E is way too strong for basic ability. Not just damage or dodging, it's can be use as wave control tool as well, which 4 sec buff early game can make him still insanely strong despite those other abilities nerf.

Pretty useless and unskilled changes for Zed these 2 patches (coming from rank 7 OTP Zed EU) problem with this champion is the pattern his unskilled poke to death never engaging into melee combat (legit make him to go melee range revert his passive nerf) second hes only AD assassin (guess nafiri also now) that has terrible early game which they shouldn't cuz with assassin u want to impact the early game as much as u can...Zed snowballing atm is terrible hes ueless without his 2 items and even then punish is too high (u miss ur classic EWQW combo? Well have fun waiting 15 sec in late game before u get a chance to do it again cuz assassin items has legit 0 haste)
Second E changes are basicly sacrifice for more damage on Q which means he prob (not sure yet need to test) cant do reset combo, they already did simalar changes with this season ago and it didnt end well...
It's crazy, assassins are so fundamentally fucked up right now and riot doesn't know how to fix it. Zac poses a higher kill threat than most assassins, most assassins have dog shit early games, a classic one being (Akali) and what do they do to fix it? Make her functionally unkillable by anyone in the early game.
