Shaun being so slow with his answers was not what I expected. But taking the time to get the answer instead of just jumping in with a guess was the right move.
I think that’s especially commendable considering *£100,000* was at stake…. The bank balance can often contribute to the pressure chasers are under, and I suspect Shaun knew that the last thing he wanted was to rush into a wrong answer, costing him 1-2 steps and potentially more time than if he had spent a second or two to work it out.

Why did they make him a chaser? Wow, you won Mastermind 20 years ago.
He looked calm imo, taking logical stabs at questions he might have passed if he was under pressure (Pamela Anderson or Haiti)

Only 16 gives chaser far too much thinking time. Shaun is renowned for being slow, 20 very easy beats him
