A great trip down memory lane. A few bizarre ads like, the Cornetto and Budweiser - makes you wonder how they got through the pitch meeting. Jaffa cakes, immac, tayto and speakeasy thrown into the mix. The Dorito ad which seemed to involve an assault on a teacher at a graduation - wouldn't pass public censorship, by today's standards. Overall, I really enjoyed this look back at this collection of ads.
The student probably received their certificate from a hated bullying teacher and wanted revenge on him but bided his time until he could get his leaving cert then assaulted him as they can't take the certificate away after it has been received.
4 years later I'm randomly browse to this vid and my brain is suddenly. "..... hold up... just wait one gosh darn moment!!!!!!!" ... immediately checks comments! :)
Always weird to see ads you'd forgotten completely that suddenly come flooding back - in this case the Coke, Bulmers and Listerine ones. Mint Wispas also slipped my mind.
@stgodards I found it!!!! It's from DJ Shadow it was a pretty big song in 90s and I couldn't sing it or play it for someone because I kept getting it mixed up with the tomb raider 4 theme! This has been bugging me for 17 years 😂😂
@@beckymcevoy355 Oh well done! That's very satisfying. I pretty sure it might have been composed for the ad. I've been trying to track down music from an ad from the late 1980s, and it's driving me nuts. Thanks for letting us know!
No memory of any of these ads, must have been before my time!
The fucking Coca-Cola commercial has been living in my head rent free for decades.

Never Drink and Drive! It's always too late to say sorry! *Light switches off*
Holy shit, Gerard Butler was in a Guinness ad? Well so was Fasabender, guess it's a step to Hollywood from Ireland.
Where is the midweek movie with the Pulp Fiction Parody?
What advert is this at 1:32?
Excellent GEORGE MC GRATH
Hi James, Sabrina here. Nice video. Thanks
Bulmers ad - This used to be 10 pound now it's 12 euros! Unusual. Didn't even know the Euro was in the Pipeworks in 1997.
I know, nuts isn't it? They introduced the Euro as an idea in the Maastricht Treaty in 1992 but it took years to implement. Red tape, eh?

I'm not sure, but it sounds like it was composed specifically for the ad.

White People in Irish adds. I'm shocked
Gayest Yorkie ad ever
Think it was a parody of 'the full monty' which I think was hot property at the time
