The choice of tires is a very subjective matter. I’m using Continental Cross King Pro Tection 29x2.20. For me very good. Tires aren't everything. I have fairly wide rims: Inner width 27.5 outside width 33.5 and ride on Pepi's Tire Noodle R-EVOLUTION tire inserts. Inserts are great. You can have lower pressure and you will get better grip.
@@pawelkolodziejek9396 clear. Inserts are great, but haven't tried them yet. My concern is more about side punctures. Planning to participate in Bike adventure this year. Have two wheelsets with tyres. Just not sure to go with Vittoria Barzo and Mezcal combo race version on carbon rims or the same tyre combo just trail version (sidewalls with extra protection) on alu rims :) rims internals are 28-30 mm. Tubeless
@@stasekas This is not Croatia, where you have one big rock garden. Most of time you will ride gravel roads or paths. Rocks is rather less than 10% and rather not very sharp
@@pawelkolodziejek9396 its not a Beskidy :) Last year i have raced there - Beskidy MTB trophy. Where were no doubts about tyres choice. It was really hardcore with sharp rocks and stones. Rocket Ron snakeskin was a great choice. Bike adventure looks like is more moderate terrain. Those made me doubt. But if you so it is not sharp rocks it would be ok with lighter tyre setup. If most of time is gravel roads.. 30t oval vs 32t oval and 11x46t back - who wins? :)
@@stasekas “30t oval vs 32t oval and 11x46t back - who wins?” It depends how strong you are 😉 On Bike Adventure you will have long flat roads but there are also very stiff uphills. Stage 1 and 3 are finished with climb. I’m pretty strong and using 34 (normal ring) and SRAM cassette 10-50. With 34-50 all could be done but is already challenging.
Gratki Pawle.
Etap w Izerach.
great! what was your tyre choice? would you recommend regular race tyres or tyres with reinforced sidewalls?
