I love how much control you have over the droppers. I'm still gauging how much to feed them. It seems like if i give them a grain over what they're supposed to have they dont react the way ilI want. Seeing your birds land directly on the loft is a beautiful sight.
Great drop.. Great watching them clapping when droppers and u are out.. He probably dragging them on to roof to get his own way with ladies, lol😂😂.. Many hens u putting him up with.. 😂😂
hi - i will start next year for the first time with tipplers (and i learned a lot about them watching your videos, THANK YOU!). my question is, i don´t have a place for droppers and they say i can use a white lid/cover as a dropper. do you have some sugestions how to use it?
You need to check out my video called ( feed tray kit) search for it. I trained a kit to land on the feed tray without droppers. Also wearing the same loft coat when feeding helps and every time at feed time I would wave a white rag about as they were feeding. Let me know once you see the video and let me know what you think?
@@jmayes36 thank you . great video. will try it like you did! with how many days to do take them away from the parents (weening?) so the got the imprinting ? After every fly do you feed them "full"? even when the fly only 3/4 hours? or at a specific time? I have Vienna HF.. i feed them "full" at 6pm... so they have the energy for a good fly in the morning (i fly them only in the morning)
@@davidkolfer2412 I wean the young birds once I see them eating themselves in the nest box. The feed tray kit would only get food in the basket which also has a yellow floor like the feed tray. Keep them hungry . Don’t feed once a day . Try to have them on the feed tray or on the basket as many times as you can. Only feeding very little amounts each time. Once they are flying for a short time to start with, only reward with a pinch of food. That way you can and must fly as many times as you can . Teach them to live on the tray or basket long before they fly for a long time.
@@jmayes36 thank you for your tipps! only for summery: i feed them always "that enough" that they will land... more or less 20 gr per day per pigeons. And with different grains i can "decide" how long do they fly... cant wait for this spring... 🙂
@@jmayes36 Right I wish that I could get just 4 Tipplers from you but I live in Baltimore,MD.. and they would quarantine them birds a couple of weeks probably but I'm going to found out the procedure on it..
Miss training/flying tipplers . Great catching up with the videos you put on here .

I don’t know.
Hey Joe what do you do with your Breeders after you've had them a few years?
I’m not at that stage yet . Right or wrong I’m only breeding from the same old birds . I may have to refresh after next year.
