My main problem with Black Panther 2

- Obviously this movie had a lot more problems but this particular point pissed me off and I didn't felt nothing for the Queen's death because it felt stupid and silly. Wakanda is obviously more powerful than it was shown in this movie.
I won't criticize this movie too much because my father liked it but I wanted emphasize this point in particular.
#marvel #mcu #disney #shuri #tchalla #blackpanther #blackpanther2 #blackpantherwakandaforever #namor
I think it's because of many reasons:
1. Namor and his people launched a surprise attack. You can't really blame them for that, now. Since surprise attacks can catch you off-guard. They were prepared for Thanos in Infinity War. But Namor's attack came rather quickly and unannounced.
2. These guys are superhumans. The Wakandians may have fought off against aliens and have advanced technology, but Thanos' forces didn't have powers like regenerative abilities. Namor especially, as his powers and strength was overwhelming the Wakandian Army. Not to mention they have Vibranium, which makes them all the more dangerous.
3. I may be wrong, but think it's also because of losing much of their force back during the Battle of Earth. Many warriors died that day, and I believe they were low on militia power then. Even now, I notice there weren't that many militia men in the Wakandian forces. So yeah, I don't think they had a lot of manpower to fight back.
Keen observations. Better than just dunking on the movie for the sake of it.
Well if you look back at IW when the shield is raised the ground units force themselves into the shield while damaging themselves then regenerate the damage they took.
@@theprotagonist1311 Ok, that part is true. But I feel like the Talocans' regeneration ability was a lot more faster than the Outsiders (Thanos' ground unit force).
@@jay-2004 They were aware of an incoming attack, and increased security.
These people just has a better way of breaching Wakanda's defenses.
@Jayden 3927Fan probably not, I'd say more bad/convenient to the plot writing. I mean no offense but many of your points can be argued against. I'll give you this, you're putting more thought into this than the writers probably did
Against other nations of the world yes.
Against a guy with a near invincibility factor and wing tipped feet. No.
Along with his own Vibranium equipped army and some other surprises he's probably keeping hidden from view.
The most powerful country in the world makes a shield that stops at water.
Literally the blue fish people are a "other nation of the world"
@@Dimmary they where powerful because they had vibraniam and had no experience with another nation that is advanced as them also the shield had a limit about how far it goes down under water
I mean Namor does have powers and Wakanda doesnt 🗿. He had been mentioned to be so powerful that even wakanda was scared and also all wakanda has is advanced tech.
... so advanced that m'baku tried to defeat NamoRRRR with a wood stick 🤦
@@danilorodriguesart6588 ikr namor didnt even flinch
@Danilo Rodrigues Art
Wood as strong as vibranium.
Yup
Wood strong enough to hurt other Talokanils.
Yup
@@cringekiller348that's not Namor, only a bastardization that's meant to be superficially diverse.
The strangest part of the film for me the pg-13 spear fight on the ship, that represented the combined might of the two most powerful nations on the earth. Plus the nation that had THREE IRON MAN SUITS was losing
Your main problem is your a dc fanboy making hate videos on MCU properties. Your upload history speaks for itself.
Exactly
To be fair, Wakanda has never fought a nation that actually was a threat to them.
Infinity war?
@@conserztasfia0078 and they need Captain America, Winter Soldier, Bruce Banner, War Machine, Wanda and Vision to help them. So yeah, Wakanda technically never fought a nation that not only on par but superior to them.
@@SheanWalsh46 they also didn't win. Also, War machine doing as much as he did, probably means Wakanda needs to invest carpet bombing technology.
Not that it would help in this case, but it would have been great against Thanos' army.
that’s unrealistic reasoning, they’re WATER people with super powers and tech vs. surprised regular people with tech. there’s more water than anything else on earth so what are they supposed to do when they inevitably fall into their enemy’s domain? all that training goes out of the window in water.
Another thing, how are a race of people who:
1. Have never been at war or fought other civilisations before
and
2. Live their entire lives with the gravity and air pressure of the deep ocean
Amazing fighters who can beat anything in combat on land and in water?
I do have to somewhat agree but also it was a surprise attack and not like infinity war where they were prepared and even then they were kinds even in numbers of the fight but I do agree that I expect a bit more of a fight but also Namor is like a fucking op snd I mean I don’t think they have tech that can shoot him while he’s fucking ghost writing the whip
Its hard to fight a country and Marvel character that rules it who can literally flood every land mass if he wanted to.
The point was to demonstrate Namor as a legitimate threat. Before, the idea of being at war with him is pretty much laughed off by many of the Wakandan's. The attack on Wakanda was a show of force that made the stakes tangible. No one can laugh at the idea of the flying fishman invading after Namor proved that his threats weren't empty posturing. Now, war is an unavoidable reality that they have to confront.
It’s that there is no Chadwick.
This is a pretty divisive film, but it's also the second least-hated film of Phase 4
I was expecting wakanda to sweep when I saw the amount of tech they have in the first movie and infinity war.
Power-scaling aside, the only thing that still irks me the wrong way with both Black Panther films is the use of "colonizer" by the characters in the films. Like, that's pretty darn racist to call a White person (or rather, just Martin Freeman's character) a colonizer because then you're just straight up assuming that all White people descended from Europeans who colonized (and depending on the circumstance, rather brutally) North America and other parts of the world.
Let me put it this way -- would a Black person in America take offense at being called a spear-chucker? Of course they freaking would, because it's racist as all Hell. Like, you're assuming they descended directly from Africa when in actuality, a lot of Black people in the US today aren't descendants of the slaves that were brought from Africa (numbers-wise, I think the percentage of slave-descended Blacks was well below 10%.)
What makes it all the worse, especially in BP2, is that this word is used by someone who at first was a crucial character in the story of the first film, and is now the main character & hero of the second film. Also, and if we're really picking at straws, it comes off a low because Disney & Marvel Studios (or really, just Disney) claim to be on the side of tolerance (i.e. The Left) -- yet how can one be tolerant yet still be bigoted in such a way? Then again, that's the f-ing Left for you today.
Just saying the US would dunk on namor
Funny joke, the US couldn't even taken down the Taliban.
@Weego if Namur invaded the US like he did wakanda he would be met with the firepower of the sun
USA would get clapped instead
@helmet boy
Power of the sun?
Where exactly.?
You except that usa will nuke their own Cities?
Besides Namor is much faster than the us army.
Bog cities like new York and dc would have already been destroyed by the time usa army even reaches there
@CRINGE KILLER you obviously don't know what you're talking about, Namur would lose the the US in the ocean thats how much we dominate
It's really not that hard to get. Here, I'll simplify it. 4 words: Other nation more powerful.
That's antithetical
Way to make an 18 second video instead of going into detail. Kinda lazy anti-marvel bait
@@matthewjamal I could go into details directly with you.
@@Dimmary like you did everyone else? Lol
@@matthewjamal it doesn't matter if my point is made. Now wether you disagree or not is enterily up to you. But calling it lazy is just bad faith lmao.
Namor is as strong as the hulk, they don’t stand a chance against him
Its because wasnt Namor. Was El Nino sin amor. 😆
The fact that this movie used the death of Chad Boseman as marketing is extremely repulsive
Well people had to know somehow how they were going to write him off, didn't they?
@@GermanShepherd2 Or they could simply Recast the character, like they're doing it with ross (& they did it in the movie with Shuri)
@@ArcTrooperRod-269 So if they didn't recast the character then they're exploiting someone's death? That sounds like bs. Maybe that's your way of saying you didn't get what you wanted so you decided to make something ugly out of it.
@@BlueSkullX they only killed the character because the actor died, not because the story need it, & even worst, they kill him by the same desease that killed the actor & they make all the marketing around the "d34th" of T'challa
@@ArcTrooperRod-269 First off, the movie never said what sickness he died from so that's a lie.
Second, the marketing was the trailers showing that he died and wasn't there. What else did you expect the trailers to be if he's not in the movie? 🤷
Isn't
For me the worst part is that namor acts as the victim because surface bad and then tries to slave wakandians by forcing them to fight with him 😂😂😂😂
The movie made me dislike nah or and the evil water people.
