I previously installed that one in this video - ua-cam.com/video/vDFdg5JjmS8/v-deo.html. The one in this install is significantly nicer and better quality and is worth the extra effort.
How well is the design for this adapter? Looking at the Karvatech one and deciding if I should upgrade to a xt2. You still have touratech mount as well
I've used a few different adapters (3DAM from Italy, Touratech and this one), this is definitely the easiest and cheapest and best overall. Touratech will be superior with how rugged it is but it's $200.
It’s too early to tell but the only thing I’m surprised by is that the XT2 is just as buggy and slow as the XT. I haven’t dug into the features much but it’s rebooted 4 times in the first 10 hours and all of the buttons are still slow to respond to presses. So right now, I’m not impressed. Screen is big and bright.
To remove the Zumo XT/XT2 from the NAV base, unlock the NAV base and slide the tab all the way to the left. Place your finger into the top right-hand side of the NAV base and push down on the release tab and the Zumo XT/XT2 will now be unlocked and easily removed.
I use the Zumo XT (1) and bought thew 3DAM adapter. It simply clicks into the mount and is secure. No wiring needed. Very simple and is better the the BMW Connected Ride Navigator that I paid $1000.00 for.

There is a much easier way of doing it, the 3DAM adapter just clips in to the BMW mount, no wiring needed

How much better do you like xt2 vs xt

Is the XT2 doing any better? I used same mount for my XT working great so far debating an upgrade

To release the Zuno I use a flat head screw drive . Put in and twist and the GPS will pop out.
Thank you.
I can't get the link to work to buy one.
It looks like his site is offline. I'll send him an email and ask what's up. He's local to me.
@@AdamChandler86 Thank you, I wonder if it has something to do with the storms.
I'll buy that zumo xt ....
It’s still on the 701 right now. I’ll probably sell it in a month. Can we chat via email?
