Bugera V5 : Noodling

- The Bugera V5 is the entry level tube amp by Bugera. Just wanted to do some quick playing around. It is a nice entry level amp for someone looking to understand the basics of the tonal qualities of tube sound. Also does a pretty good job of bringing the vintage tones in.
I have one of these. i've had it a few years and haven't had any problems. It got dropped on a hardwood floor once, no damage. Amazing sound and quality for 200 dollars. sometimes I put a NOS Mullard 12au7 in for clean jazz, and Nos iE el 84. Wow. With this mod can't get much distortion, but the cleans with the reverb on 2 or 3 is just beautiful. Also, a Genelex gold lion ax7 with the IE el 84 sounds wonderful cranked. It's a distortion sound that I prefer more than a vintage tube screamer
one off the best demo's on the V5 Bugera in my opinion.. :-)
Thank you
That's not noodling. It's creative meditation!
Thank you for the kind words. ua-cam.com/video/0JTMwHlMeJc/v-deo.html
thank you, this is exactly what i was looking for, I love the tone, and the playing is fantastic, mesmerizing
Thank you so much
Awesome Review man! It is so hard to find demos about amps like this! Simple, straight to the point and demonstrating the nuances of the amp. You convinced me into going for a V5. I think Bugera owns you some selling commissions hahahaha. Great jamming too!
Thank you Joao Pedro
Entry level amp? Price wise, yes but there is no getting tone like this from what one usually considers an entry level amp as your own video clearly displays. It is cheap. It is Chinese made and it is very simple, but it is not fair to say it is entry level. I think you got closer at saying "vintage" and "nice". I own this amp AND a Mesa Boogie Mark 5 90 watt combo. This amp is my go to over the Mesa on a daily basis for tone and simplicity. This amp will serve anyone well from entry level to seasoned pro if their taste for tone lies within the vintage realm.
You're absolutely right
Entry level TUBE amp...Way more cheaper than other tube amps...I got one, and like it
Liked mine so much I bought the T5 head and play it through a 1x12 Greenback cab...side by side the T5 has a little more gain with the boost button. I replaced the stock tubes with Tung sol in the combo and EH in the T5 head.....both very nice! I have Marshall and Blackstar heads and this T5 is my favorite for jazzy blues jams.
Nice Noodling Surjo! Love my cheap V5 Infinium. Changed out the stock Bugera tubes for a NOS Syl. grey plate 5751 and the EL84 for a NOS 6BQ5 BEL(Mullard made in India) and it fattened the sound up some more and lightened the treble some. Probably the best bedroom tube amp I've heard.
Thank you, and your mod sounds like it's amazing.
Beautiful
jtankersley7 Thank you
Great amp and playing!
Thank you so much
Awesome playing!
+kees ketsers Thank you
Awesome amp for the money. The tone is amazing. Tried the Marshall DSL5, but not enough tonal variation for the $300 price differential. Especially if you use pedals.
That sounds like a big serious amp, nice! And tasty playing!
Thank you
Well played sir. Keep it going.
Thank you
Hi Surjo, here i am back. I just bought a telecaster with blank varnished neck. It will soon look like yours. Keep jamming man. Love your sound. " don't laugh with me now".
Killer. Have fun Sir
Great noodling! Little amp sounds good 👌
Thank you
I also have one of these good little amps . Also have the t5 head which is probably more versatile than this one especially running a 2x12 cab with v-30s it’s just awesome. I’m running colder tubes so doesn’t really distort and use it for a pedal platform with a plexi pedal it sounds like a great big ole stack of Marshall
Thanks or the demo - nice playing! I am considering this or the Laney Cub8/10. I have heard that Bugeras are not durable (from Thomann representative!). How long have you been using this ? Any issues? Are they durable? Tonewise I think I like it and more so beacuse of the price. Can it be mic'd up for a small gig?
I've been using it 7 years. No issues so far. No tubes have been changed. Can be mic'd for small gigs
@@SurjoBhattacharjee Thanks for your reply - very useful. I am almost certain I'll go for this amp. I 'd have gone for V22, but it is bulky to be shipped to India from Thomann.
Bajaao isn't selling it anymore? That's how I got mine
@@SurjoBhattacharjee Thanks. You are right - it is listed on Bajaao but out of stock and that too for 23k. Including shipping buying from Thomann costs 16k - seems like a good deal! Is yours the V5 Infinium version?
No bro, mine is the older one
cosa è quello nero sul body e ponte?
+Kamo Karkas Roland GK3 pickup. That's when I play with the Roland GR55
You running any pedals with this setup?
No Sir.
Is everything stock on this amp?
Yes

Sounds a little muddy, thin, even with single coils. Doesn't break nicely.
what 5w tube amp can you buy for 200 dollars, that sound better than this?
if you buy a new speaker and other tubes its still cheaper than any other option.
