I live in Radium, it is very common to come through Sinclair canyon and it be sunny and beautiful. Also it's always about 10c warmer then the Alberta side. Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Loving the filming, the commentary and views. Thankyou for doing this, really look forward to watching each one.
Our pleasure!
A great way to a Monday morning! Not jealous at all 😉 It’s all down to the great videos that you have been making for all these years, well earned & thank you 👍
Thank you very much!
Great series this Andy. Many thanks for all your efforts.
Very welcome Tom - thank you so much for watching and for stopping by!
Superb TMF yet again .looks a great bit of the world to tour and explore.👍
It sure is!
Absolutely love this series! I’ve watched every minute. It’s something I’d hope to do at some point in the future.
Thank you Rider Reviews - very much appreciate your support!
Another Fun day on the road with you two! Some very cool towns you traveled through! Scenery is fantastic!
It sure is!
Hi, Good Morning Andy. Hope that Mrs Flyer and your good self are all okay 👍
Must apologise ' took a bit of a detour back there " 😆 ( long weekend away last week for a surprise 50th) .
But great to be back on the road with you guys 😃
Lovely Sunday morning, caught up on 3 fantastic episodes washed down with as many mugs of coffee ( now how that's how to start a Sunday 🤗)
I'm loving the ride/ tour and am very much looking forward to the next installment!!
Many thanks once again Andy 🙏
All the best Russ 👍
Thank you Russ - always good to have you ride along with us!
This is my home valley. Traveled this highway 95 over a thousand times. Lovely video!
Very cool! You live in an incredible part of the world....must be tough in winter??
@@TheMissendenFlyerit certainly can be after a blizzard and the highway hasnt been cleared yet.!!
Great series of videos. Radium Hot Springs is my home, you captured the area well. Hope you enjoyed yourselves.
You’re very fortunate to live there - beautiful part of the world!
Loved your comment about 09.30 Monday morning and the decision to give up the day job to go YouTubing 4 or 5 years ago. You do it really well and I always look forward to your content. Good for you, well done and keep living the dream 👍
Thank you very much!
Now this is my backyard for sure. High above the rock walls coming into Radium there are hiking paths on both sides I’ve been on. Too bad the pool was so busy with people. I’ve been there in the off season & was only one of less than ten people in the whole place.
Too bad you didn’t walk the Platzl in Kimberley. Nice shops with a Bavarian style, could have got a nice breakfast there.
You said you’ve only been YouTubing for 4 or 5 years…Sold yourself short I believe as I’ve been a loyal subscribed fan since 2014 when I bought my first GS.
When I did the GTTS road in August it was so hot I could have worn shorts if I wasn’t on a bike 🔥. There used to be over 300 glaciers, now less than 150 & not expected to last another 30 years.
Looking forward to your next episode. Cheers 🍻
Next episode coming on Saturday! Stay tuned! (….and the UA-cam reference was when I gave up my job to pursue it, not when I first posted a video which was in 2008!)
@@TheMissendenFlyer yes of course…
I think it's amazing that you could ride that close to the mountain side those rocks looked wonderful it dose reminded me of place near Iikley there at side of the road beware of falling rocks. it was great seeing the weather change and got better weather. The hot spring would have been nice however we cannot have everything. cannot wait see more.
Thank you Dennis - next episode of this one coming next Saturday - stay tuned!
Love it just found this video, my parents used to live in Fairmont Hot Springs, been on these roads many times
Very cool!
What I would give for Monday mornings like that. We'll done you Andy, I wish I was brave enough to give up the day job. Great video.
Thanks Karl, yes it is a bit scary but so far so good! Was a good Monday Morning that one as I said!
[ Excellent ] video!
Can't wait for #17. Cheers!
Another entertaining vlog Andy. Mrs Flyer and yourself look to be having an amazing time. As always I'm looking forward to your next instalment. 👍.
Thanks 👍
What an awesome series, thank you both for sharing!! 👍👍
Our pleasure!
Just what I need to watch on a rainy day in Glasgow, the ride looks fantastic, big sky country 🙂👏🏼
Stopped at the Trickle Creek a couple of times for skiing holidays. Loved Kimberly. Enjoying the series Andy 🏍👍
Cheers Del!
This has been an amazing trip.
It sure was!
I am really enjoying watching you ride over all these roads that I know so well, having ridden all over BC and Alberta for 30 years... And, tomorrow once over the border, you will hit the "Going To The Sun" road. one of the World's best riding roads - makes the Tail of the Dragon seem short...and safe by comparison - you'll see...
another fab vid andy andy and carrol outstanding footage thank you
Thank you Allan!
Still with you and loving it TMF !😀
Thank you John - appreciate that!
Good morning, Absolutely stunning again. Looking forward to Saturdays instalment.
Cheers John!
A good Monday morning indeed! Great episode, happy to see you leaving the rain behind!
Us too! Thanks for watching and for stopping by!
Andy and Carole. Another stunning, epic leg to the trip! Great edit. Same as most on here. I’m a long time UA-cam premium member. (In Canada) Can’t see your pinned message. And still 3 days later, can only view in 360p. Shame on YT, not you Andy. No biggie, pal! Incredible views nonetheless. 🔝🎬🎥🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
That’s really weird - sorry about that…
Good 👍 on you mate out their living the dream 💭, if others are jealous well they should “ just make it happen “ glad you guys are enjoying yourselves, life in this crazy 😜 world 🌎 at present it’s great to escape all the problems. I have just retired at 54 so let the good 👍 times roll on ( 2 wheels 😂😂😂 ) another great vid
We’re the same age - ‘68 rules!
@@TheMissendenFlyer YES 👍 68 rules
Month?
Welcome to my riding back yard , if you had turned west on highway 3 just before the border crossing it would have taken you to and potentially over 3 of the 4 highest passes in Canada ( Kootenay , Strawberry , and Paulson ) . Some of the best loop rides in the Pacific Northwest abound in this area. Big lakes , big mountains and never ending scenery . Again I am biased . Now covered in snow . Cheers Capt . RS.
Cheers Ross - yes, some amazing riding around there I agree!
Loving the series, and the views whilst riding through the gorge was fabulous, especially the bit with the heavy rain clouds on your left, and the sunshine on your right. So good to see you and Mrs Flyer stopping at local eateries whilst travelling, like I'd rather do, than at the usual 'fast food' outlets.
Yes I’m afraid things have to be pretty desperate for us to stop at a fast food place - Besides, as much as I love them Mrs Flyer has banned me from having them!!
So good to see you enjoying your ride, living so close to this area I sometimes take it for granted. Enjoy, can"t wait to hear your description of the highway to the sun mountain pass, it is spectacular!
Err yeah, about that.....
Love the timber frame coffee stop! 19:00
Yes it was a cool place!
that was some spectacular views on that ride.
There sure were!
Thanks for another scenic episode. I admire your courage to ride before coffee. I’d miss first gear, tip over and lie there crying until somebody put me out of my misery. Next! (They’re called “sausage patties.”)
I know it has been a lot of work editing these videos from this long trip, but I have thoroughly enjoyed them. Thanks! I wish I could take that trip some day on my 1250RT!
So glad you've enjoyed them Kyle - plenty more to come right up until Christmas!
Bet that swimming pool was refreshing after a long day in the saddle 😊
More of my home turf! Lovin your tour. Regards from BC Canada. 🇨🇦
Love the views. Half expect to see Itchy or Teapot ride past the other way....
This is my favorite tour series you've done. Man, the views!!!!!!!!
Thank you Scott - it’s my favourite too!
Great series Andy, looking forward to "going to the sun" road. Hope to ride it next summer!
Hmm yes, about that…..stay tuned!
I was born in the Crowsnest Pass and raised in the shadows of the Rockies in the Pincher Creek/Waterton Park area. Beautiful part of the world if I do say so myself. So I am really looking forward to the next episode when you travel through those locals. Glad you were able explore this area. 🇨🇦
I spent a summer working in Blairmore, Alberta not too far from there.
Yes a gorgeous part of the world....loved Waterton Park in particular...
Pincher Creek is an amazing town with amazing people. We overnighted there and found the people extremely nice and helpful.
@@TheMissendenFlyer Looking forward to your ride up Going to the Sun Road. Hopefully it was open for you! 🤞
Even though I've lived in Alberta for close to 60 years I hadn't visited Waterton Park until a few years ago. Now it's become an annual destination for me. Red Rock Canyon, Cameron Falls, the hiking trails in the area - simply spectacular.
Great content. That's for sharing! Makes me want to do a tour through that beautiful area.
If you can Matt you should! It’s a beautiful place…
Looking forward to the road to the sun, haven’t been there but I will ride along with you.
This is an awesome video of your ride TMF.
Thank you!
I rode through jasper, radium hot springs and Kimberly last year when doing the kootenays, lovely riding. Glad you enjoyed it. Hope you get to Ainsworth hot springs
The great adventure continues, love this area of my country, happy travels mate.
Thank you Dan!
Glorious 2160P50 for me. Keep up the great work Mr and Mrsinden Flyer!
Excellent news!
Good morning, something to watch at lunch time thanks.Manxman 🇮🇲👍
Morning!
Interesting scenery .
That coutryside in the 2nd part of this video reminds me of an area to the west of where you are, called the Okanagan, where there are vineyards and orange and lemon groves. Who would have thought British Columbia would be like this? Not me until I went there! Really enjoying this series Andy.
Thanks Richard!
Amazing thanks
No problem
Thank you.
Welcome!
My eyes went straight to the sausage rolls too 😋
Video was a little grainy so I just used my imagination. All was good. Sure beats the snow I'm looking at out the window. The " Going to the Sun highway " is spectacular. I feel your pain in trying to find a coffee and breakfast. Been there a few times- the addiction can be tragic. Lol. Totally enjoying your trip. Looking forward to some pool time next summer. 👍👍🏍🏍🏍🙋♂️
Thank you John - apologies it's aking so long for YT to process this onbe - appreciate you watching and the kind comments.
Andy, I checked out Motorrads website and found this one! It states that it's a 7 day tour but more than once you have mentioned that you're on the road for a month, fantastic series with mind blowing scenery.
Must have been the wrong tour you were looking at - anyone who can ride 4000 miles in 7 days and call it a holiday is hard core!!
Finally UA-cam got its head around what the small pixels should look like! 🤗 It was al worth it, well done, servers!
Yes just took it 54 hours to do!
@@TheMissendenFlyer Out off a surprising sense of tradition, they let their Cray 1 do the rendering?
If they did it needs looking at!
Another great vid.
I'm down in Texas and we have dozens of roundabouts and new ones going in all the time.
They must be catching on!
People travel around the world and manage to condense it down to 8 episodes....I'm staggered.
Thanks for the feedback...
How good can it get? I was ready for the Brekky Bun, lol!!
Hi Andy, still only at 360 in Australia, hope to comes good soon as I have enjoyed the rest of the series
How strange - must be something to do with the way UA-cam distributes videos on their servers - it's in full on 4K here and for most people now.....sorry for the problems you've experienced, I assume it will finish processing at some point....let me know??
@@TheMissendenFlyer Hi Andy still have the same issue with my main browser, swapped to Firefox Randall of the quality settings were available, so seems to be an issue with my computer caching the settings in Safari and not letting me refresh them.
Definitely in high resolution now 👍 With so many huge RV's towing cars I wonder is the price of fuel massively cheaper than the UK in North America/Canada.
Being able to pack in work and experience touring amazing parts of the world is very appealing. Don't think my Google ad sense is up to the challenge
Yes Richard, the price of fuel is massively cheaper in North America/Canada - a lot more expensive than it used to be but still waaay less than here. ….and yes sadly it takes a lot of high RPM views to make Adsense pay, it’s not as easy to make a living at this as many think it is! My aim is to make it look easy…..
Great series, but mate - clean that windshield! 🙂
Really enjoy your trip, the wife and I are surprised by how large everything is in the states.
It sure is!
When on a ride from Prince George to Jasper it is very common to see moose and or bears.
Food/coffee never tastes better than when one is riding, does it? ☕
Every September I ride from Edmonton to Radium Hot Springs for a huge (1,000 cars) classic car show so I am familiar with the roads you were on today. I reckon the riding doesn't get much better.
You got that right!
Regarding the "sausage burger" you mentioned, I happened to be in Minneapolis (Minnesota) last week and we frequented a breakfast house. When selecting a menu item including sausage, they asked whether I wanted it in strips or a patty, strips being a "traditional English sausage" and a patty being the burger style.
That white soapy stuff on the tarmac is oil and grease and so on, that gets washed out of the road surface when it rains after some hot weather... be verry carefull when you see it, because it means the road is verry slick!
Some say it's from the particulate spraying Geoengineering to cool the planet. Any links to your ideas as I'm very curious. Thx
Nice to have a dry day.
When you got to Portland I hope you were able to ride the Columbia River Gorge. A beautiful ride.
Yes stunning along there (if windy!)....
Lovin it !
Thank you!
The white foam is oil from the road rising to the surface and mixing with the rainwater from the storm.
Thanks for the info!
Keep up the good work mate, appreciate the time and effort for these vids. Ignore the comments who have apparently ‘tuned’ out of the adventure but still take time to comment 🥴🥴 you won’t please everyone, disadvantages of having 230k+ subscribers unfortunately.
Indeed.....!
Ah, the memories. I'm from Edmonton and as long as I can remember (I'm getting a little crotchety 😁), my parents would take my siblings and I to Radium at least once a year in the summer to go soak in the pool and get golden suntans (or worse). I rode through there a few years back after a rather long hiatus (told you I was old), and other than a few new restaurants/pubs along Highway 93/95, nothing much has really changed. There was actually talk of closing the Hot Springs pools a number of years ago but I guess they're still going. Thank goodness or the town would probably die.
If you're ever back that way again, you could do a favourite trip of my riding buddies and mine. From Lake Louise, you can take the Trans Canada 1 directly through Golden and to Revelstoke (there are also the famous Spiral Railroad tunnels along the way). Otherwise if you are in Radium, head north from Radium (95) to Golden, head west through Revelstoke (Trans Canada 1), and south on Highway 23 (nice free ferry to take you across Arrow Lake at Shelter Bay). There are a number of towns you can stay at but we would always book our stay at the Leland Hotel in Nakusp (they claim to have the oldest pub in the province). You keep going south east on Highway 6 toward New Denver. Once there, take Highway 31A to Kaslo. This is where the absolute beauty will gobsmack you. It's not a fast road but it's really twisty in a lot of places and most of the time you are riding through a narrow valley with a raging creek running alongside you. From Kaslo, we'd continue south to Balfour on Highway 31, take another free ferry across Kootenay Lake, then take Highway 3A all the way down to Creston. From there we'd either keep heading south to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho (great pubs!) or head back home on 3 West through Cranbrook/Radium/Saskatchewan Crossing.
I look outside my window and see snow. 😒I haven't done a version of this run since the pandemic: I see a road trip in 2023!
Hope the weather improves ASAP!
@@TheMissendenFlyer We're sitting in the low plus C (2 - 4 ish) for the next week or so. That means we'll get a nice little cold snap and snow (probably) to replace the stuff that melted! 🥶
I'd rather that than the continuos rain we're having at the moment....
@@TheMissendenFlyer Yeah, I was looking at the weather where my son is near Carlisle - warmer than home but lotsa 🌧. I think I'd take the snow too!
Lovely tour of a spectacular part of the world Andy! The air quality we had in the Pacific North West this year was particularly bad as a result of forest fires. Quite often Seattle had the worst AQ index in the entire world! (Not great at all)
Oh dear! When we were there it was lovely!
Really nice episode TMF. Looked really good & that opening shot of the gorge was amazing. It just seemed a really pleasant part of the world. Also agree it was actually how I would've thought Montana would look & if so, that's no bad thing at all. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks for watching!
Amazing Andy. The tour that keeps on giving. Getting better every episode. Thanks for showing us this part of the world. Much appreciated 👍
Glad you enjoyed it Colin - stay tuned for more soon (next couple of videos are a review then Bike News, then the tour continues)....
@@TheMissendenFlyer sounds like you’re going to be working all weekend. Double bubble!!
I always do Colin!
The scenery certainly was outstanding in this episode but too many people !! 🤪 I’m not adverse to making the occasional negative comment but reading the comments this episode seems to have copped a few which is a bit disappointing. I’d just like to add that whether it’s off script vlogs (which I’d like to see more of), tours, bike reviews etc you have given me a lot of enjoyable viewing over the years !! 🇬🇧
Thank you Stewy, I very much appreciate that!
We are just in awe of the whole trip great video and scenery. Been watching for a few years you have a great time .is Australia on your menu .you have a couple of bikes that would be great for it cheers
Yes very much so - just time and money preventing us but we will get under there!
Looking forward to normal service being resumed.
Normal service resumes after Christmas - stay tuned!
Ignore the nay sayers, I’m loving this series.
Thank you sir!
Glacier Park time!!!!
Finally playing in HD!
Yes it took its time this one didn’t it!! Over 2 days for UA-cam to process it!!
At least the fillings are on the inside 🤔😂
Sorry I forgot to mention in the Yukon and around Liard River you will see Wood Bison.
A different species than the ones around Yellowstone.
Really enjoying the trip but would love some evening action i e what the hotels are like food etc
Noted!
You should do a trip on the BMW R18 Transcontinental.
Ooh no thanks! Nice looking but so big and heavy.....
You seemed to bit confused about the wildlife in British Columbia.
We have;
Moose..the largest of the deer family
Elk: 2 different species
Caribou: I believe you thought they may be Reindeer. We do not have them here.
Deer : Whitetail and Mule deer.
No idea whether I was was in HD or something else Andy but seemed fine to me!
Good stuff Robert - cheers!
I love these motorcycle tour series.
You get to see foreign countries from a different and more interesting view without leaving your house.
The less civilization I see when riding, the more I like it. It doesn’t mean I’m not civilized 😅.
The worst thing is when you’re on on bike, riding up or down on a steep slope and then you have to stop. The ground will be further away than you think. Happened to me once and I fell down because when my foot reached the ground I couldn’t hold the weight of the bike.
Coffee in a plastic cup with a plastic lid and 🙄. The US will drown in their own waste piles.
i likie my comforts not on a bike but in a rv in usa and canada as myv son lives near denver i learned him to drive at 18 now he isc 35 and got a good job as a big rig driver so we fly over 3 times a year from heathrow in 1st class stay with jhin a few days then borrow his rv for trips in usa and canada was the tea yorkshire tea as i take it with me plus you can see the northern lights in uk north of inverness
A few facts for you.
1. When you crossed the bridge in Prince George the river is the Fraser it flows from almost Jasper to the Pacific at Vancouver.
The industry to your left is a paper mill.
Prince George is no way the largest city in British Cumbia.
Vanderhouf is the centre of British Cumbia.
I live in Prince George
Ride safe
Thank you for that!
Another great video. Out of curiosity if not on the BMW what bike would you have chosen to do this tour.
I can’t think of a better bike than the BMW GS to do this in - if that didn’t exist then any adventure bike would be fine….
Radium is a highly radioactive element and can be extremely dangerous. However, it was once used in many everyday products, including wristwatches and toothpaste, and thought to have curative properties until its intense radioactivity was found to cause adverse health effects.
Great bit of the trip this one, any chance we can hear Mrs Flyer ?
Sadly not - for reasons I explained (I think) in the last video…
I tuned out of this adventure a while ago, too many episodes, need to learn how to condense things down. Looking forward to bike news and you getting back to normal proceedings
Thanks for the advice!
I blame UA-cam but my version is still only 360😬. Radium has changed since I was there in 1996, very hot when I was there too…
Sorry about that Ted - working fine for me now and others reporting glorious 4K too...must be YT servers...no idea why this one took so long to process...apologies.
Great scenery - nice video. Can YT really replace the 9-5 financially?
Seems so!
But you have to be very good at it, like TMF is.
360p only?
I actually uploaded this to UA-cam two days ago and it’s still processing HD!
@@TheMissendenFlyer Computer says - Not yet!
Been looking forward to this next stage of your adventure but the resolution of the video is very poor. Attempted playing this again over the last couple of days but no improvement.
Should be OK now - looks good to me and others have reported it is now rendered in glorious 4K?? Sorry for the issues - no idea why it took UA-cam over two days to process this one!
Can i ask is Mrs Flyer riding pillion 😳 if she is what a tough lady, its one thing to drive 250miles another to be pillion for that length/time wow i take my hat off to the lady 🤠
She sure is - quite a gal!
Released an hour ago. Still 360p only..... I'll come back to this later.
