    Great video but does the hot water when cooking not kill the bacteria from the fermentation???

      @@nataliesmith-ti7oe it most likely does. The bacteria though has already done the work of breaking down the nutrients in the porridge, making it easier for your body to absorb. Also, fermented porridge is known for its unique sour flavor that most enjoy. Hope this answers.

    Am here watching coz i have a newborn and here in us no fermented uji,only " sour flour" which doesn't taste anything close to fermented porridge.

      I've not Fermented with sugar before. I probably need to do some research on that one. I think though sugar will help in fermentation. I think it is quick food for the microorganisms. I hope I can try though.

      I would say though, take it in moderation since it's food so it could if you take too much of it.

    Are you using only maize flour?

      No. The flour I'm using has been combined with other flours including millet flour. Usually if you buy one without maize flour, you add a little as I explained in the video to aid with the fermentation process.
