Born and raised in apalachicola and still live here. It such a beautiful place. My family goes back over 7 generations here and im raising my boys here as well. Glad that you found our little town. Hope to see you back!
We enjoyed and appreciated your kind & calm demeanors. I can be a worrier over those kinds of things you mentioned, too, and yes, it's good to be responsible but to also take in and enjoy what the Lord has blessed us all with!
Yup! Let go and live. in. the. moment! Appreciating all that is around you. The most incredible poets, rappers, novelists, artists teachers, spiritualists, etc do this all the time! Thank you both ( actually all 3) for your genuine creative reminders!
Well said! So hard but also so rewarding to live in the moment. Thanks so much for your nice comment, Teri. We really appreciate it!! Take care and have a great day :)
I am bicoastal having grown up in Tallahassee and Partly in Panama City proper ( not the beaches much ) 150 years ago. LOL seriously, I have only been able to go to Carrabelle and Ap and St. Geo's Island since I've been grown and married. I love it but I cannot get down to all that as much as I'd love to. Speaking of PC, I was at St. Andrew's marina when I was about 20 and I saw an older man "bothering" a brown Pelican. Instinctively I went over to see what I could do. The poor bird had fishing line wrapped all around it including it's head, so the old man asked me to help by holding the bird. He had a pocketknife and got the job done pretty quickly. At one point it came around and with open mouth it bit my whole face. So I know what a pelican's mouth smells like! It seemed to know we were trying to help it. I don't recall it flying off but it looked at us so gratefully. I think it expected a fish and I'm not sure how long it had been since it'd had food or drink. I'm sure the man was 60'ish. My age now and I'm sure he was lonely but I had to decline his offer to go get some coffee. My dad would not approved of that. Nowadays you'd have to call in a wildlife officer, what we did is probably not legal now. Lovely vid young folks! Bless.
You guys are adorable!! You remind me of my cousin and her husband who travel and make videos too. Great video. There are not many videos of downtown appalachicola so a video showing more of the shops and stores and restaurants downtown would be great if you ever go back. But great video and God Bless you both in your journey!!
didn't know about St George Island. If you all have a second on the way back to NC, consider checking out Amelia Island (at the FL/GA line above Jacksonville).
So serene to watch this. I can feel your melancholy about leaving it, but I'm sure your next destination will be just as nice, albeit in a different way. Looking forward to whatever comes next in your 'town hopping' tour. Cheers guys!
Thanks so much for this nice comment, Daniel. So happy you enjoyed these Florida vids. We hope to do another trip soon. Maybe out West... Thanks again and have a great day!
Thank you so much Jennifer, we really appreciate your being here and watching our videos. Lets all help spread the love. Take care and have a wonderful day :)
I highly suggest passing through lumpkin GA on the way back to Hendersonville at providence canyon state park, nice trail/hike for this part of the country
Since you like turtles have you been to the aquarium in downtown Hendersonville? It’s a very nice place and the people who work there are so loving and informative about the fish and Izard and turtles that live there.
What an adorable and cool couple you are! (Love your long hair, Kurt. I can see your mom in your face. And I always thought Sara so naturally beautiful.) That cabin is wonderful, omg, and that beach! Thanks for sharing and taking us along with you. Kisses for Sabo!
We are camping at the state park on St George Island - such a cool area! We wandered Apalachicola a bit the other day and are going back tomorrow. I loved the architecture too! And the beach is stunning.
Happy to see you guys (Saba too!) having so much fun! That was a Callistemon Tree. Common name, Bottle brush. Enjoying traveling along with you! Hugs, dena
Thanks so much for coming along on our trip, Dena! Thanks also for identifying that tree for us. Saba had so much fun becoming a vlogger on the trip, lol!! Take care and have a wonderful day!!

The vibe at the lake cabin is unbeatable. I think it's what I need, total peaceful, nature immersion.
It was all that for sure, Tracy. We haven't felt that relaxed in years, lol.
