Thanks man, I kind of went out of my way to read as much Thanos stuff as I could that preceded this- I've got videos for those too, there's a whole Thanos playlist now.
I've been wondering, and maybe you have thoughts on this Mitch, why didn't Jim Starlin do the art for this series himself. I mean he IS the one who created Thanos and Capt Marvel as a Kree. Do you think he did layouts for these issues? And have you given any thoughts to reviewing "The Death of Capt. Marvel"?
@NotThisBrayne I don't know why he didn't do it himself, no. I know he did do layouts for Pérez, and Pérez ignored them; I don't know with Ron, that could account for a couple of the more imaginative designs; that said I remember Jim coming up with some mich weirder shit, I would have hoped put in more flashy visuals. And I did think of looking at Death of CM, like a couple of months ago, and then I forgot about it. I'll try to remember it for my next order.
This is what happens when Shooter leaves, you get genocidal purple aliens as your antiheroes. It's a good idea though, because the only other real alternative is to have Thanos either die or escape, and you just brought the guy back after being dead for 15 years.
Really insightful view and breakdown of this issue. I can tell you know what you're talking about

Great vid! Some cool ideas in there, wish they were executed better. Still pretty good looking though.
Most of it is competent, if unimaginitive, which is kind of Ron Lim in a nutshell.

Thanos as an antihero after what he did? I mean, come on, Jim, Jean Grey got the death sentence for just ONE solar system! What are you, sexist?
