Miami has posted its 2023-24 tuition. $88,900. That is beyond the reach of most families. Make sure you can pay this tuition and you want to pay this amount for a NON IVY degree. No matter how popular and selective it has become, many people still view it as a party school and a school that kids choose for "fun" first. It is also a very hands off school as far as interacting with parents and students. You are a number at UMiami to the administration. It feels like the students 100% set the culture. Party!

The admissions essay doesn’t seem confusing at all in what it’s asking. At least from what it seems it seeks to know what is your anchor among the hard time in life and school. What gives you the tenacity to continue. Though if you haven’t really struggled much in life or find academic not very challenging this question may be difficult to answer but my answer to this question is simple put GOD he is the one who has helped me make it through school and life ❤ without Him I may have not even lived till this moment!

Want to enroll in the U? There's an unwritten admissions rule, which 1. requires you to buy a BMW or a vehicle that looks like a BMW, 2. You must cut off every driver in front of you, and not use your turn signals. Drive anywhere within a 6 mile radius of the U of M, particularly on the expressway, and you will see how this rule is vigorously enforced.

I’m an active duty soldier I’m applying for the 2024 fall semester (application window hasn’t opened yet for that) I am applying for the army green to gold program active duty option. What other recommendations do you have for military? (I’d still technically be on active duty) I would be a junior transfer

Thank you for your service. The transfer admissions process is different than the first-year admissions process, which is discussed in this video. To learn more about the transfer admissions process at Miami, I recommend visiting the following links:
      admissions.miami.edu/undergraduate/application-process/admission-requirements/transfer/index.html
      admissions.miami.edu/undergraduate/about/FAQs/transfer-applicants/index.html
If you have any specific questions about transferring to Miami, I suggest calling its admissions office directly and speaking to a transfer admissions representative. They should be happy to help you. Otherwise, make sure to find somewhere on your application to provide detailed descriptions of your extracurricular (military) activities and achievements. Good luck.

I'm a U alumni... But nearly $400 grand total for tuition and living expenses for undergrad BS/BA is insane! It's not worth it sorry...
