Then, I check my mirrors for any cop cars I can possibly pancake and make ABRUPT harsh turns without putting a signal on. I just can't help it.
As the star track of the Batman Begins soundtrack, Molossus stands out as a watershed moment of 21th century character based music. Starting with a relentless, pulsating barrage of percussion followed swiftly by an imposing but yet regal wave of horn, you are right away reminded that the decision to become the Guardian of the Night is not a trifling one. It is one that involves one's heartbeat pacing frenetically due to death constant following but also justice's eternal beckoning to go beyond oneself, to rise above one's perceived limits as exemplified in 1:52. No one can be left unscathed by the dramatic heroic theme starting around 2:36. This theme reminds me of Vivaldi's opening bar for the winter section of his 4 seasons masterpiece. This strong theme rises, gives us a glance of what inhabits the hero than fades. It perpetuates a game of thrill, wits and will until 3:42 when all has been said and done and the pulse of the city resonates in what resembles Miami Vice's urban anthem. When all energy and hope has left the hero, when all that is possibly human fails but...but.. in the midst of a deafening silence, one's duty and sense of justice prevails. That is what Batman symbolizes. Humanity's ability to sacrifice one's social life, sense of pleasure to answer the muted call of those who lost their voices.
Thank you Heliz08 I also take request. If you have a surperb track(it has to be undeniably beautiful music) and you'd like to see my take on it, simply request it :)
HOLY CRAP!I love how relentless this is. it just builds and builds and just when you think it can't go any further, somehow it does. This is perfect for the Batman character, shows that obsession and drive. This dude is coming, ya better run.
This is one of the best pieces of music ever composed, and a real inspiration for every piece of music I did and will ever do. I wish I had a 100th of the talent of this amazing composer.
Was riding my bicycle at night going home from work and had this playing through my speakers. It was an epic experience riding at night with this song playing.
Cillian did a fantastic job as Crane. The fact he was so calm in his emotions even when attacking people which lured you into thinking he was a friend was great. I'm just sad he didn't get alot of screen time.
badass trilogy, we wont be able to see another one like this in a very long time, everything was perfect the directing, the performing, the soundtrack, everything fit so well its likea river flowing trought mountains.
Used to listen to this song when I was late for my previous job. The music cued up nicely with the turns and lights i had to take for work. ( i was late a lot for that job hence why I love this song)
While not as iconic as Elfman's score (and I hate Elfman's stuff, but his Batman theme is iconic for a reason) Zimmer nailed the spirit of Batman with this one. I've heard people say it's not memorable, but when you hear it you know instantly where it's from and who it represents. Dark, intense, but a sense of purpose. It's not overtly heroic like would be appropriate for Superman, Flash, Spider-Man, or Captain America, but you get the sense that those who do wrong have more to fear from what's coming. Batman is a symbol of fear for criminals rather than a beacon of hope. He is more an elemental force of vengeance than a figure of justice and law.
zimmer score isn't memorable at all, eflfman is far superior in every sense, but THIS track is one of the best action instrumentals in the history of mankind
reason why i loved batman begins so much: clearly shows how a poor miserable wretched boy attempts to make his way to take revenge on the criminal life and the training and sacrifices he had to do to get there. and the music: awesome
lordmasterization I absolutely agree as far as TDKR theme was overdone. They were trying to do too much with that theme. I feel that changed the theme when they didn't have to. If it's not broken...
JustinSane8504 The thing is they were trying to invoke different stages of the Batman's stage. This sounds victorious, the beginning, TDK is the middle, and TDKR is the ominous end with a hint of hope.
The main thing I like about Zimmer`s BB and TDK scores is that they`re so....Batman! Most scores you can switch one with the other or superimpose them on other movies/projects etc..but Zimmer literarly captured Batman`s idenity and personality in the music!
Well, to be fair, I also did LOVE Hans Zimmer's Batman theme in Batman v. Superman. They're different soundtracks for different types of Batmans. However, I still like this one slightly more.
Honestly, you have no idea how much these two soundtracks mean to me and how awesome they are. The Batman figure is so perfect. I love Chris Nolan, Hans Zimmer, Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Liam Neeson and everybody and how great these movies and the soundtracks are
Happy Ten Year Anniversary Batman Begins, one of the greatest comic-book films of all time!!! Thank you Christopher Nolan, for not only making a damn good movie, but for showing us that it's not who we are underneath, but what we DO, that defines us!
Why does this movie get so much hate? It's one of Christopher Nolan's best, and a great superhero movie! I will say the dark knight was better, but this movie is still fantastic, plus, you can't beat the soundtrack
Batman Begins is the best out of the three, but one thing I didn't like was that Scarecrow, who was a new villain never shown on the big screen before didn't have a lot of screen time. I mean with his mask on. In Dark Knight Rises Bane and Scarecrow should of teamed up to take out Batman.
Zardeth of the Black Claw I'm talking about a new villain on the big screen. I know Scarecrow has been around for some time but he's never made it to the big screen. He was supposed to of been played by Brad Dourif in Joel Schmauchers third Batman movie, but thank god Warne Bros got rid of Schmaucher before he did anymore damage to Batman's name.
+Steve Rogers A convincing argument could be made that it is the best BATMAN movie but I do not think it's the best batman MOVIE, if that makes sense... In other words Begins is good shit but The Dark Knight is a superior film.
+Adam Moore The Dark Knight is an fascinating case study in human nature, but it doesn't really tell much of a story. At least 80% of it is composed of the Joker doing a thing and/or people reacting to the thing the Joker just did. Essentially, he is a non-sympathetic evil protagonist (the character who drives the movie forward) with no discernible motivation, and Batman is a highly sympathetic good antagonist (the one who works against the protagonist). Heath Ledger's suicide, as any suicide, was tragic. But I think a lot of people see The Dark Knight as being better than it actually was because they feel sad for him. Batman Begins, on the other hand, is possibly the best superhero origin story ever put to film.
OrangeKyle91 But, in a way, you are saying it yourself: it is the best super hero ORIGIN movie ever. That’s true. I just think that the dark knight was incredibly immersive emotionally. I took my mom to see it in the theater, and she enjoyed it and was as thrilled by it as me (24 at the time) as my younger cousin (20). It really portrays very well that “some people just want to watch the world burn”, without even wanting to be evil... just for the fun of it. And the price batman pays for trying to stop it is almost the ultimate price. I think it a true cinematic masterpiece.
When the symphonic kings of rhythm and tension meet with a "score" to settle...heaven and hell collide. Mister Howeard...Mister Zimmer...cheers. Let's all please do it again, sometime soon. The world needs more of your damn fine music.
Steve Jablonsky is credited as additional programming for Batman Begins. I wouldn't be surprised if this entire track is his music programming. Two years after this, he scored Transformers with a track that sounded just like this.
this is one of my favorite zimmer's track on TDKT. when batman is driving his batmobile and just speeding down the road destroying everything on its path in batman begins was so cool. this track is so epic and engaging, every time i hear it i imagine myself as batman driving the batmobile 200mph or flying over gotham. this track fits great when you're playing arkham games.
Frankly I enjoy Affleck's Batman. And he's well aware that Snyder made a mess of the DCEU, and that's why he's holding off on the Batman movie since if Justice League does as bad as BvS and SS did he's stepping down. At least that's what I heard. But I agree. The Dark Knight Trilogy was legendary. Truly changed the way people view comic book movies. I loved the realistic approach that it took, having villains who came to be through realistic means instead of science accidents or super steroids. No matter how much time will pass, Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy will always hold a special place in our memories.
Shane Rimmer he played Captain "Ace" Owens in Dr. Strangelove and did the voice of Scott Tracy in Thunder-Birds Are Go and was in the first three Superman movies played an older Gotham Water Board Technician in this movie.
