What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out the Viair TLC PRO Portable Compressor. It's gonna have 150 psi, let's check it out. The TLC PRO is gonna be great for airing up your bike tires for a ride or adjusting them if you can even let some air out, that's good for, you never know what kind of trail you're gonna go on. Maybe you'll need to take a little bit out there to grip the trail a little bit better. And you can also use it on your vehicle tire.
So it's gonna work with tire sizes up to 35 inches in diameter. So I liked it, I got the compressor here, I can use on my bike or my car. Now the way the compressor's gonna be powered is these alligator clamps. You have two options, you can attach these to the ends of the battery for a temporary setup or you can install these on your battery, so it's a permanent setup. So then this cord must be hanging out here, and you can do the connectors so disconnect the eyelets, or the alligator clamps.
So I like the addition of the permanent option, if you're gonna be using this all the time, you know you're always gonna using this on this vehicle. Just hook it up there, leave it, then you just have to look for that cord when you need it. But today, since it's not a permanent install, we're gonna stick with the alligator clamps. So I'll reattach those, very simple, just match them up. Plug those in.
We'll come back, we'll put our black one on the negative and the red one on the positive. I have a side post, so putting those on there. it's a little bit different, the red one has more to grip onto so it's more sturdier. There's not a lot to grip on the black one, so the alligator clamps aren't super aggressive, but it will stay there while we air our tires. We got the eight-foot power cord here, going from battery to our compressor and then from the compressor, all the way to the back tire on my bike there, it's gonna be 30 foot of air hose.
So it's gonna come all the way here. And even if it wasn't attached, I'd still be able to stretch it and get to the front tire on my mountain bike as well. I'll unthread it here, I can show you what I'm talking about. With it here, I can make to the back tire just fine and then I stretch it out even more. We can reach the front tire of my bike while it's still on the rack. Returning to the back tire, let's attach our hose and see how that works. We're gonna turn the push on the connector and thread it onto the Schrader valve. It grabs, it's gonna let a little air out when it makes its connection and you just keep turning and it'll stop pretty quickly. You heard it, barely there. It lets some air out 'cause now our gauge has a reading on it. It shows us where it's at. Now let's turn on the compressor and add some air. Now they recommend to start your engine so it doesn't drain your battery. So with the engine started, let's use the compressor. We're gonna come down here. Hit the switch to turn it on. It's gonna start pumping air into the tank. You can see with it on, it doesn't make that much noise. It doesn't move a whole lot either. You might not even see it moving. I like the rubber pads on the bottom to keep it from plucking around and moving. It's gonna stay right there. It's not too bad, it shut off when the tank is full, let's go to the tire. With the compressor on, now you can pull this trigger to add air. You'll see the gauge move up. You have the compressor kick on over there. And we got it up to almost 25. I'm gonna keep it at 20. So I'm gonna use the bleeder button here to release some air. So I like that you can do either or safely with this gauge. And just to show you, it's gonna work the same way on the vehicle. Thread it on, you hear that air escape for a second and we look, looks like we're about at 30. Let's get it up to 35. Looks good there. Now with our gauge removed, we can add our airgun. Just drop it down in place. That quick connection now, you can spray off anything in your garage or tools, machines, even your pipes. Get rid of some of the dust or dirt, if you're gonna ride on gravel, you just wanna get it off there. I'm gonna use that to do so. Now you might not be able to see a lot of that dirt move or get blown off there, but I'll show you on the pedal. It's strong enough to move that around but not too much. Now it also comes with attachment for your Presta valve. So we'll loosen that. I'll show you how it works on this. We attach is the same way the other attachments did. You're gonna push it down on there until the gauge give
