To pull up the front while mid-air, shift into top gear and floor it! "Every action has an equal and opposite re-action" - the energy you put into spinning up the wheels will equally be applied towards rotating the entire car. Slamming the brakes or flooring it in reverse will pull the nose down, meanwhile.
@@HazewinDog You have to look in the playlists on my channel. The playlists was called "Survive The Jump", but I added "The Long Jump" as a secondary name.
SInce what, 2014? Good throwback. A way to stop nose diving is hitting the brakes after you lift off, the wheels spinning forward creates enough force to rotate the car forward in flight, so hit the brakes to stop them. You can even grab reverse to rotate the other way on lighter cars.
This is what the content was like when I started watching in 2015-16. One of my favorite series on the channel, Canyon Rally, was on this same map I'm pretty certain. I also really liked the rally stage from the Horizon 3 builds.
Holy shit, this is a fucking throwback and a half. I'd already been watching for a few years by the time you did these; wild to think how long you've been videos and I've been watching them. 😅
Wow, I didn't expect to see a old series thing revive, damm well am I happy for seeing this!!! Weirdly enough, a bunch of youtubers seem to be going to the old ways (2012~2016) way of doing videos, and good god am I loving it!
Alex i didnt know you were a fan of Red Bull Hardline! As soon as videos of the Canyon jump take off (literally, badum tzzz) you bring back an absolute classic! love it!
You can influence the rotation in air. Keep on throttle and gear up all the way to spin up the wheels and make the car nose up, or brake and make it nose down. Might not do much on a car close to top gear red line and/or small wheels, but with larger wheels and/or a lot of room to top gear red line it definitely can. You can also time a throttle off/brake just before take off to initiate a spin once in air.
Interesting concept of putting an engine of a great warplane like the Supermarine Spitfire was and putting it into a car. I would be courious to see a Merlin Engine from a P-51 inside a car.
This brings me back i remember the original episode. My pre video prediction is that this will be much easier as beamngs various physics and drivetrain updates makes the cars just generally faster than they were back then
A "bonnet" is something an old church lady wears on Easter. How is this relating to smashing motor vehicles over reckless silly jumps? 😁 Sarcasm meter set on "stun".
_"Tonight, the bridge is out, but Alex must get his chicken nuggets no matter what! T'noit, in bottom gear: Hammond forgets his lunch on the other side of a broken bridge James drives his subaru through a working area And Jeremy gets arrested for tax evasion All o' this 'n more on the next episode of bottom gear
For challenges like this I would love a crash test dummy. See if the driver could survive to actually drive off after some of the survived but harsher landings like the rolls.
What if a car survives the jump, you turn it around and try again on the other direction? Going back and forth till it dies or fails to make the jump. Could be a way to actually make this a series similar to driven till destruction. Car with most crosses wins. Could work for MP as well.
Yep, this is a throwback from when if I remember a lancer and one other was able to do it while still able to drive
a vw polo rally car
Need more of these old BeamNG challenges!

I found your channel through these videos so many years ago!
*sees premise, immediately envisions Bolide getting cut in half.
It's been a while since this series.
Only disappointment is none of them had car horns that played "Dixieland" while making the jump.
duke boys
The Sunburst at 118 mph would have been perfect and not had slight chassis, door and suspension issues.
I watched every single one of these back in the day! So happy it's back!
Love the videos failrace. I remember when you did this a long time ago. It’s crazy how time flies
I guess I'll sort that into my Long Jump playlist. The concept is pretty similar
Thank you for your public service
well where's the original video? :)

god this brings me back haha
20:38 honestly perfect lol
Alex and that 8th-10th gear change in the truck were definitely not good friends, he just couldn't get the shift right. :P
These were some of my fave videos you did in the early days of Beam, happy days! :)
Oh the memories! So good to see this series back
Nice return to this series. Watched a bunch of these when you used to do them regularly.

Love anything you do with jumping in Beam!
Just a thought, you should put the Stig in the driver's seat.
Great video, I really enjoy stuff like this.
This map was a blast! Wish it was still available.

Was checking the comments to see if anyone brought that up lol.

Still one of the best maps.

23:55 ""it's held on by "that", whatever "that" is"" -- "That" is a Track Bar - It attaches the Diff Housing to the frame to stop Lateral Movement...
Man.... I've been watching you for a long time 😅
Years have passed since I last saw this series

It's always nice to relive old memories!
1st! Them Duke boys are at it again. 😁👍

24:58 toe out may have helped also
I want another series of driven till destruction!!
total Slappiwag Fail Race Behaviour as usual!
Good work
Love this series!
22:25 the cab folding in like apiece of paper was the icong on the cake.
So fun to see this map again!
Would be interesting to see what you can make out of it if it was a multiplayer challenge
I initially thought this was old video until i saw it again in my notifications this morning
The Sunburst is perfect. It is how you pick your mum up from the airport.
I think thats a Mitsubishi Colt not a mirage, I once had a colt and dropped an Evo engine into it. That monster is the only car I ever regret selling!
Yaay that's been way to long since we saw this series!
22:25 I broke my boy! I broke my boy!
will it roll? yeah yeah it will. lmao id love to see a will it roll throw back.
For challenges like this I would love a crash test dummy. See if the driver could survive to actually drive off after some of the survived but harsher landings like the rolls.
I remember this series!
Someone needs to mod Kevin to do 117mph!
Would be cool to see if cars can make the jump driving from the opposite end.
I remember these, back when everyone used the Evo 9 rally car mod.
are all of these game modes included w/ BeamNG or are they extra add-ons? I need to start playing this stuff!
There is a lot in the base game but a lot more are mods you can add to it maps/cars/scenarios etc.
Thanks - I'll have to get some mods now!
That's not in one piece anymore 😂 9:38
Wow, it's been a hot minute

The first failrace video i watched!
on the semi the bar holding axle on is a torsion bar. it keeps axle from tracking side to side
Man I remember watching the original video of this WAYY back in the day.
You can probably raise and stiffen-up suspension on this Coupe and it will land with no damage.
Survive The Jump
Side note - the BeamNG game engine really doesn't display the hard shadows of early evening that well, does it?
would be interesting to see that if any cars land clean, they can still jump back
I wish I could the G force of some of them impacts on the bridge. I'm sure the one in the Jetta was quite high
It's been a while, but still as fun 😊
Destroying tie rod ends for steering and/or drive shafts?
Which map is this?
Definitely lighting for skittle colors
What is this map called? Looks like a good bit of fun
Was it just me or did this seem kind of dark?
4:53 hey at least it still rolls
how to escape the Zombie hoards? Sunburst.
22:28 Optimus Prime! No!!!
It would be cool if you could add ballast in beam like in the back or front it could be easy but very hard i dont know coding
Awesome
Hi, is it possible, to show Speeds in mph and kph?
Its been so long since i jumped this, i cant remember where it is... it looks like Utah, but i cant find this bridge anywhere.
Is it good or bad thst i remember the early ones 😂😂
Aslo could you launch the truck in like 2/3 or would fhat not work
You could probably direct the landing by using gas and brakein the air like you would do irl.
What's the maps name?
Alex said it’s ok if I jump my wrx 👍🏼
Could cars make the jump in the opposite direction?
Give the truck a bigger run up to get more speed
Nothing that a bit of duct tape won't fix lol
This series was how i found Failrace
The funny thing is the jump isn't mandetorry 😂
Good old days lol
"Slightly less dead..."
Aerodynamics combined with weight transfer?
Hitting the crack at 90... ya think? 😁
Nfs dream end 😅
Ah Sunburst Impretzel
There's a second crack?
Ironic the car with the plane engine got starved of oil while it was flying.
Idk if its just me but the video is a little dark
My question is can anything jump UP the canyon going the other way
19:47 watch as a K-series turns into a Lada
First!
YT made The lighting on this map worse
whats the name of that map ?
