Funny to see this after I went on a sledge-spree yesterday. Granted, I'm at way lower mmr(1200), but I found getting ~6 sledges into range would put me in a really flexible position. If the opponent went into scorpions/heavier units, I would follow up with armor piercing, and save mech rage until late game unless they went heavy on chaff. Then I would just filled out my own chaff during the upgrade rounds - hopefully baiting the opponent into going into sledge counters while I set up a conga line of fangs and crawlers.
The problem is if the opponent makes air units your stangs are now gonna be useless since they just keep attacking the missiles. The other option the opponent can make is get overload for their missiles your stangs wont be able to keep up.
I love the sabretooth option. The fact you don't nerf the tank's main gun whilst operating the anti-missile is what makes it my preferred choice for anti-missile.

Anytime I see stormcallers I just get 2 packs of stangs with anti missle. Makes stormcallers useless.

Or as the video showed the building debuff stops them from firing
@@roslolian11 i think the stangs not attacking is the reason Cob likes the sabertooth and war factory intercepter more.
@@SIMULACRA37 yes I agree. You can also build the 100 cost building interceptor I think those are pretty cost effective.
