Because when you're not famous, you and ONLY you get to decide what kind of music you create. When you sign on that dotted line you sign away most of your creativity/freedom, a lot of people need to realise that, eventually you're gonna want the big bucks no matter who you are, trading off a little freedom for big money is always gonna be worth it regardless of what any fan says.
MrIExertion I agree with what you say but not everyone sells out for the money or fame, there are ones who keep it real despite being offered deals for a lot more money, however they want to keep it real and keep control of their music and what they can speak about.
