Han Hung wrote this song and she adopted the little boy. Dimash heard this song some years ago and was so touched by it that he asked her for permission to sing it on 'The Singer'. It ended up that he lost his voice before the performance and had to get injections etc. Then he sang the song & then lost his voice immediately afterwards. Song was writen ang singing for first time by Han Hong ,one of the famous Chinese singer and songwriter. She wrote that is based on a true story, which moved her considerably. At the moment that the cable car fell and crashed, the father tried his best to hold his son high. The two-year-old kid survived, while her parents both died. Deeply touched by the story, Han also adopted the kid. She said she feels empathy with the boy, more than others, since she herself lost her father at the age of six.

You didn't get at all the deep emotion and the desperate screaming of a child losing it's parents. Even if you don't know the background story you should feel a little bit more. That's what I expect from you. Your focus was not on Dimash. His delivery of emotions is incredible in here. I can't listen to this song very often, because it is so heavy and tragic that I can't stand it. Although I never lost my parents. And I felt it and was crying from the first moment without knowing what is going on. Maybe you really should take a second attempt and go to a clip with the background story. You missd a lot.

And as a result, Soul, you kept pausing in the most inappropriate places possible and so you weren't really aware of the phrasing or the extraordinarily beautiful way that Dimash was interpreting this tragic song. Me too. I’m expecting Soul’s reaction more than this, like the usual ones he has done. But this one, seems he missed the all the emotion of Dimash’s song. The 1st time I heard this song without knowing the story behind it made me cry. Something hurt and sad feeling that I can’t describe. The 2nd attempt hearing with the subtitle made me even worst, especially since I have no more parents. Really can feel how sad the little kids feeling through listening to the way Dimash singing. Normally when i do reactions, i don't hear or see the video prior, i click on it for the first time seconds prior to recording, so i know nothing about what to expect as far as the language of the song, or the story behind it. She adopted a little boy, whose parents were killed, together with a dozen people more, in a cable cart accident. They managed to save their baby boy by lifting him up out of the cart. Dimash tells the story from the kid's standpoint. He also did the song on The Singer, but then he was not well, no voice. He was rushed to the hospital for a couple of injections, did the performance remarkably well, all things considered, immediately afterwards no voice again.
This performance was from his Concert at Bastau, 2017. After his amazing success in the Chinese show "The Singer" the Kazakhstan Government decided to sponsor this, his first solo concert!! Around 35,000 fans came from many different countries to see this fantastic concert.

Daybreak was composed by and originally sung by Han Hong. She also wrote the lyrics based on her conversations with a little boy she had adopted. This boy, Ziyin Pan, was the only person who had survived almost unscathed a terrible cable car accident. This accident occurred at a popular tourist destination, the canyon at the Ma Ling River in Guizhou province, on October 3, 1999. An unlicensed cable car with a limit of 12 was overloaded with 37 passengers. As it arrived at the top of the canyon, it got stuck. The newly hired and poorly trained employee panicked and pushed the wrong lever. The cable car started sliding backwards. Then the frayed cable snapped and the cable car plunged 110 meters down and crashed into the concrete platform below. During those few moments of free fall, a young couple instinctively raised together their 2.5-year old son above their heads, hoping to cushion his impact. The horrific crash left 14 dead - including the young Pan couple- and 22 severely injured. Little Ziyin Pan, miraculously, was the only one to sustain only a bruise on the lip.

Bastau was his first concert after Singer in his home town. This my absolute favorite performance of Daybreak. Do yourself a favor and look up the English translation and then listen to this again. You will really appreciate it once you know the story. Bastau was incredible and won Concert Of the Year.

Normally I like your reactions and comments very much, but this time I feel you weren't ready for this. You didn't get at all the deep emotion and the desperate screaming of a child losing it's parents. Even if you don't know the background story you should feel a little bit more. That's what I expect from you. Your focus was not on Dimash. His delivery of emotions is incredible in here. I can't listen to this song very often, because it is so heavy and tragic that I can't stand it. Although I never lost my parents. And I felt it and was crying from the first moment without knowing what is going on. Maybe you really should take a second attempt and go to a clip with the background story. You missd a lot.

He uses every ounce of his skill and passion to do justice to the sacrifice of the child's parents in the song and to portray the devastation of the child left behind without them.

Me too. I’m expecting Soul’s reaction more than this, like the usual ones he has done. But this one, seems he missed the all the emotion of Dimash’s song. The 1st time I heard this song without knowing the story behind it made me cry. Something hurt and sad feeling that I can’t describe. The 2nd attempt hearing with the subtitle made me even worst, especially since I have no more parents. Really can feel how sad the little kids feeling through listening to the way Dimash singing. This song is one of my favorite song. He’s an amazing talented humble artist that I’ve ever known so far. Hope to see him in live oneday

Normally when i do reactions, i don't hear or see the video prior, i click on it for the first time seconds prior to recording, so i know nothing about what to expect as far as the language of the song, or the story behind it. The theme of my channel are unprepared reactions to give them the most impact of first time experience. Incredible, wasn't it? Did you watch it with subtitles on? This song was written by Han Hong, the Chinese singer. She adopted a little boy, whose parents were killed, together with a dozen people more, in a cable cart accident. They managed to save their baby boy by lifting him up out of the cart. Dimash tells the story from the kid's standpoint. He also did the song on The Singer, but then he was not well, no voice. He was rushed to the hospital for a couple of injections, did the performance remarkably well, all things considered, immediately afterwards no voice again.

Thank you so much for reacting to this 🙏 Daybreak in itself is an immensely powerful song, even before you know the history. But Dimash takes it to another level. He tells the story with his voice, his body, the entire performance. I've said this before; Dimash looks and sounds like that utterly desperate, heartbroken 2 year old boy did on that day. And even if he sang this sitting quietly, with no vocal runs and acrobatics, he could still make Daybreak just as heartwrenching and yes, hopeful.

Daybreak was composed by and originally sung by Han Hong. She also wrote the lyrics based on her conversations with a little boy she had adopted. This boy, Ziyin Pan, was the only person who had survived almost unscathed a terrible cable car accident. This accident occurred at a popular tourist destination, the canyon at the Ma Ling River in Guizhou province, on October 3, 1999. An unlicensed cable car with a limit of 12 was overloaded with 37 passengers. As it arrived at the top of the canyon, it got stuck. The newly hired and poorly trained employee panicked and pushed the wrong lever. The cable car started sliding backwards. Then the frayed cable snapped and the cable car plunged 110 meters down and crashed into the concrete platform below. During those few moments of free fall, a young couple instinctively raised together their 2.5-year old son above their heads, hoping to cushion his impact. The horrific crash left 14 dead - including the young Pan couple- and 22 severely injured. Little Ziyin Pan, miraculously, was the only one to sustain only a bruise on the lip.

Bastau was his first concert after Singer in his home town. This my absolute favorite performance of Daybreak. Do yourself a favor and look up the English translation and then listen to this again. You will really appreciate it once you know the story. Bastau was incredible and won Concert Of the Year.
