  • Hello everyone! Join us as we plant some amazing annuals that are guaranteed to completely fill in our front planter with amazing blooms throughout the season. We've planted Vistas for the past 3 years and they've never let us down. This year we are going with two different 'supers'. They're perfectly named:
    1. Superbena Whiteout: www.provenwinn...
    2. Supertunia Vista Snowdrift: www.provenwinn...
    3. For Organic Budworm Control: www.amazon.com...
    On a side note, we've recently reached 2K subscribers! A special thank you to everyone for joining our gardening family! We couldn't be more thankful to have you!
    Thanks for stopping by! More to come!

    Looking forward to see how quickly they get to full bloom. I am sure they will look great in the evening as well, a bit like a moon garden.

    Do you get your PW annuals online or locally… I live in Simi Valley and the PW selection around us is very limited.

      Hey Curt. I know this sounds strange but I am so happy to hear that there's someone else that has found this to be true here in So Cal. Yes, this market is very limited so I have to order most of my plants each year directly from Proven Winners. It's kinda expensive, but the plants arrive in amazing condition. This year they had a huge 30% off early order sale in November. Seemed crazy to order that early, but I was glad to have the discount. The thing that's nice about ordering direct is the fact that you can order items that we never see here in our area. I rarely see PW perennials here. It's mostly much of the same varieties each year. If I do see them, it's usually at Lowes in the spring and then sometimes in the late summer. I feel like staring a petition to bring more of their varieties to our area. :) Thanks for commenting and stopping by our little channel. :)

    Thank you for the helpful tips. I am getting the pot feet that you mentioned in your last video. The bio tone for my next project. I’m small and don’t know if I can handle an auger (I think that’s what it’s called) but I’m going to check it out. Looks like it makes things easier. My hubby is limited with mobility but I know he will show me how to use it. The flowers are so pretty😊

      Annalee, thank you so much for that very sweet comment. Yay, the feet are great. Let me know what you think once you do that. Yes, the auger is a little cumbersome at first but with practice it can be helpful. You will just need to make sure that your drill is on the right setting so that it doesn't twist out of control when you hit a root or rock. You will need to be cautious of that. It's happened to me and it wasn't fun. Once you have it adjusted correctly, that is less likely to happen. Thanks for stopping by and visiting our garden. Glad you liked the flowers.

    Fertilization schedule?

    • @williamsgardening
      @williamsgardening  Рік тому +1

      Hi James, Yes, I will feed these plants once every 1-2 weeks with the Proven Winners water soluble fertilizer. Then in the summer, I will come by with some slow release around the base to carry them through the fall. Hope this helps. Thanks for stopping by.

    I planted supertunia and superbena in a border and they arent doing anything! I wonder if they need full sun even though the info thing says part to full sun?

      Hello there. Yes, I noticed that my plants slow down when we have weeks of overcast conditions. They really do best with 6+ hours of sun. They love to bask for sure. Have a great day.

    So you spray each week for budworms? Is that really a problem here in So Cal? where do you get your BT at? I try to buy on Amazon, but it never allows to ship in Southern Ca.

    • @williamsgardening
      @williamsgardening  5 місяців тому

      Yes, once a week if they’re really prevalent. If not, I can go longer between treatments. I just posted a reply to your other comment and I explain more about what we order with the link. :)

      Oh yes, I’ve also seen another brand of BT at The Home Depot in the store. 🪴

      @@williamsgardening Thank you for the advice! I just planted my Supertunias, and I want to prepare if I get budworms.. which I think I will. I previously had ornamental kale, and I had a ton of worms! Didn't know what to do, so I pulled them all out.
