I kinda came up with a head cannon of what the lore of what reason why the music box is cursed: The box once belonged to a boy who was the son of a soldier who was given the music box which was hand made The box was given to the boy on his birthday and the father wasn’t around but was the one who made it for him One day the boy horrifically died in an accident and the box was playing when authorities arrived when both the boy and the box were found The father was given the box as a reminder of his son but the father committed the unalive and in a fit of rage and despair cursed the box forever whom touched the box
