    It reminds me of the monastery I used to visit up in Northumberland. It was a little more remote, though; only one bus per week. A very quiet and challenging place. 🙏🖖

    What a lovely place! I’m really curious about the story or stories you’re writing, I hope you’ll tell us more about them and maybe about your writing process. I finished the first draft of my fantasy novel a while ago and planned everything out and to my surprise it didn’t make the writing itself boring. 😅

    Oooooo so beautiful! And so is that retreat area 😏🤣 Sorry sorry, I couldn't resist lol. That area is even more beautiful than my backyard where there's a lake also with ducks, but mostly Canadian geese which are basically bigger meaner ducks lol. Yeah, I'm glad you loved it there. I try to reconnect with nature at least once a month as it tends to do wonders for my mental health and just overall health, it seems.

    I think two epilogues aren't too clunky, depending on how it's done, obviously. I've also seen One Epilogue Per Character, or Per Setting, as a style, so that's also something to consider.

    • @vforwombat9915
      @vforwombat9915 7 місяців тому +1

      she can always put on epilogue at the front and call it a prologue.
      problem solved!

    A 2 hour writing limit is normal, I think. After 2 hours of writing im done for the day. I enjoy writing, but after two hours I feel like I just had a 2 hour math test

    You can have two epilogues... Films have multiple end credits scenes.

    I do wish you’d post more on your Backstage channel. You’ve talked about your dance instruction, but have not posted any videos of you dancing. Can you do that? I agree with just about all of your rhetoric on your other channel, as do most of your other fans, but I really like the potential this channel has of letting us see more of YOU and sharing with us more of the things you do.

    How do you get over the fear of letting someone else read your writing? I have 350,000 words spread over several novels that no one but me has ever read. It. Is. Terrifying... to me for some reason. I have even sent a link to a couple of people. But then I get all panicky and rename the file before they could open it so they get an error when rhey clicked the link. It is about 10 years worth of writing and I'm the only one that's ever read it.

    • @xliquidflames
      @xliquidflames 7 місяців тому

      @SneakyBug12 Yeah, it's about 30 or so short stories and then the rest is one big epic fantasy story similar to Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones. It needs to be broken up into at least 3 or 4 books but I am not done. I'll break it up when I do the first proof reading.

    • @vforwombat9915
      @vforwombat9915 7 місяців тому

      @@xliquidflames i feel you.
      i have about 10 books in a wheel of time/game of thrones thing worked out inside my head.
      the first book is 90% written, the next 2 are completely plotted, and the idea of having folks read it and tell me that i wasted all that time is ...well, it's like a boulder hanging above my head by a thread.
      so instead i spread my writing in nearly comprehensible bits all across youtube.
      if and when i ever get serious about it, or you get serious about it, there are support/writer's groups, many on the internet, whole websites devoted to developing your writing through peer review, that you can hunt down and join.
      maybe having anonymous folks viciously critique your work would be better than having friends do it.
      if you wanna do it, you're gonna have to just rip the bandaid off and accept you might feel utterly devastated.
      so, you don't get over the fear of it, you charge right into it like a madman.
      kinda like bungee jumping with a frayed rope.
      should i add some more analogies?
      can't have too many metaphors and analogies.
      it'd be like...
      just kidding.
