    1. "Hike the sh!t out of it." - A mantra for up hills.
    2. Practice hiking in training. Make sure you train your hiking muscles in training in preparation for race day!
    3. If you're having stomach issues - back off the pace and effort and allow your body to have a mini reset.
    4. Have your crew lay out your items at aid stations, this can provide a visual cue to help you remember to grab what you need. And make a list for your crew of what you will definitely need and what you may need.
    5. Determine your strengths and use them to your advantage on race day.
    6. Make sure you get in a good sleep two nights before the race!
    7. If you need to take 30sec to deal with a potential issue e.g. removing a rock from your shoe OR putting on your jacket. Take the time, 30sec is nothing in the big picture.
