I like your honesty. 👍🏾
This was awesome! Thank you so much. I use prey model grinds and have been wanting more info on how to do a better job at balancing them. Would love it if you did more on the different products from Top Dog Food & Supply. The only thing that I wasn't thrilled about was the music playing in the back ground during the video. I know it's popular with a lot of You Tube creators, but I find it distracting. You're interesting enough to listen to all by yourself :)
Thanks for the love and input! I’ll keep that in mind in the future!
I understand the concept that the amount of food is based on caloric need per day per individual dog and that is based on activity. So, a couch potato dog who eats X amount of the food vs. a super active dog who eats 2X amount of this food will end up only getting half the nutrients as the guy eating twice as much. At face value, one might therefore assume that most of the nutrients need to be doubled for the couch potato. However, I would argue that that idea is probably too simplistic-- The super active guy is not just burning through more calories but is also "burning" through more nutrients. For example, his active muscle cells are utilizing more antioxidants per day, more metal ions as cofactors for his more active biochemical pathways, etc. So, I think it is okay to just make a balanced recipe and feed more or less based on dogs body condition (underweight, overweight, or normal). If he is very active but is overweight then you are feeding him too much volume of the recipe per day and vice versa. Great video. Love your channel!
Thanks for the kind words my friend! 💙
