When I was a driver at chester old fire station. People reported ment you got there as fast as my pump would go you was .
Lookey to get 50 out of my pump. Chester was a right bad station to get out of right in the middle of chester on a very bad for cars and buses.
In the end chester council had to put lights up to stop the traffic.
We had 5 minutes to be on seen,, we had it down to when the bells 🔔 went down. 1 minute out on the road.. so that give me 4 minutes to be on seen.
Had 3 fantastic people, on the pump. Retired now had many jobs after that..love to ride the pump one more time be for I die 😊😊
A lot of great memories in fire stations. I am still a serving firefighter in Scotland. Best job in the world

wonder if Mark is still in the service its been 28 years or so since this was aired
Pretty sure there is a contract saying you can only work for the service for 30 years so if he was new when this was filmed, he will be about retirement
