Think about it 1 wood= 4 planks it takes 6 planks to make 4 stairs so it would be faster to just mine the logs

a very easy way to fix it - the higher you jump, the more you have to dig down so you can land safely when you do jump. but only dig in a way that you ca get out of the hole by jumping as less as possible
