    Glad to find this video. I have the Phase 95, wanting to get another for a second pedalboard but was wondering what the difference would be. The Deep Phase does go quite a bit deeper, but I have no complaints about the Phase 95. I'm going to stick with the latter. Thanks, man!!

    I wish MXR would issue a mini flanger pedal. They have a "micro flanger," but it's standard pedal size. I tend to prefer flanger to phaser in most situations that call for modulation.

    I’ve got a Pigtronix Moon Pool which I like a lot. It has both tremolo and phaser. I’m thinking of buying a phase 95 but then this MXR Deep Phase came out! Decisions decisions… hmmm

    Two excellent phasers. Still going to stick with my Kokko FPH2 though.

    The Phase 95 has a flashing thing which I like. The Deep Phase has a deeper orange color. Hmmm which to choose.

      deeper orange and with a hint of shimmery flecks in the finish. still a tough decision truly. 🤔

    Why ,besides they are in business to make money, didn’t they just release a 2-8 phaser with all of their phases into One Pedal!🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

      That'd be awesome. This is the reason I have a Seymour Duncan Polaron :)

      even if they made the deep phase 2-4 stage i would be happy, IMO the 8 stage isn't that great, it becomes too much, maybe a 6 stage phaser

      @@TriPedalReviews Do you prefer the Seymour Duncan 'Polaron' over the Deep Phase Versus & Phase 95?

      @@josephtardio1086 If you want something simple I'd go with the phase 95, if you want something that sounds great and is more advanced, I'd go with the Polaron. I love both. I'd pass on the Deep Phase myself :)

    Excellent! Heard this is based off the ehx small stone. What do you think?

    • @TriPedalReviews
      @TriPedalReviews 2 роки тому +2

      It's not. I sat it side by side with the small stone and it sounds nothing like it. It doesn't sound anything like any of the classic phasers. It's its own thing.

      @@TriPedalReviews i liked it. I got that jhs phaser that's 6 stage. So this sits nicely at 4&8 stages. How much of a difference do feel that makes, the stages?

    • @TriPedalReviews
      @TriPedalReviews 2 роки тому +2

      @@off711 Stages make quite a bit of difference, but honestly everything does on these phasers that don't have a lot of parameters, because it all depends on how the maker has dialed in things you can't control. I made a video recently about choosing a phaser (The video posted right after this one) and in that video I use the Polaron to go through the stages. I'd suggest taking a listen to that just so you can get a feel of what the different stages sound like. Basically it gets more intense the more stages you add. The more stages, the less transparent your sound because your signal is going through more phase shifts. In that video you'll also notice that some phasers with 6 stages for instance, sound less pronounced than some with lower stages. This is because there are other parameters at play that have been dialed in besides just the # of stages. Polaron is a good general example as all things are equal when flipping through the stages.

      @@TriPedalReviews yeah i saw that one too. Great playing btw. Kind of want to run one phaser into another. Make my own bi phase if you will.

      @@off711 If you do, I find it best to set speeds either just a little off from each other or some multiple of one of the phasers speeds. Always fun to experiment.

      95 myself. Deep phase has a bit of a lopsided LFO that I don't particularly prefer.

      Note the text to the right... It'll always state which pedal is making the noise at any given time. I put that there to differentiate as I switch back and forth.
