The film was sappy but also beautifully shot, and their love story was very well-done. Everyone in the theater where I saw it seemed to like it, so obviously some people responded well to it.
Saw this film and loved it..Jessica AND Colin were outstanding.. the story was about love and fantasy..the musical score was wonderful..a moving experience....the critics no nothing, thier opinions are pure crap as they usually are....go see this film and enjoy it...
Tbh this film looks like a nice respite. People love magic as long as it looks like the Hobbit or Harry Potter. My mum would live this, I've been away from TV and movies buy intend on buying it.
I’m not saying the movie is perfect. It’s quite honestly very flawed in some areas (particularly the last third, which I think is overly rushed). But… I don’t know, this film has been so important to me in these last months of my life. I was (and still am) dealing with a lot of personal hardships and difficulties when it comes to my family, my brother in particular, and the world keeps getting crazier and more destructive, and… this movie for me is a return to what little optimism I have left. This movie IS optimism in its purest form. The belief that even if you think you’ve failed, your life continues to matter, continues to impact the lives of others. And I keep thinking about it, and making fanart about it, and writing stories about it, because it may not be a perfect film, but it IS a perfect message. And it’s a mentality, a faith in humanity, a perseverance, an unashamed sweetness to it (like how Colin described it), that… I want to believe in. I wish I had this movie’s optimism. Maybe that’s why I keep holding onto it. Maybe one day I too believe that miracles are real.
Oh, I don't regret one cent I paid for seeing this movie. My friends and I laughed the whole time. My GOD we did not anticipate how wonderfully horrible and ridiculous this film was.
They were beautiful in this movie...excellent acting.

I loved it and adored Beverly Penn. It has put JBF on my radar. May have to give Downtown Abbey a look.
Wonderful film and actors. Love them very much
