Mask of Mirrors is Venitian inspired and the world building is insanely detailed! I liked the first one (it was a low 4 star) but book 2 was amazing and got a 5 star. Warning that they are VERY slow. Also happy belated birthday 🥳 and congrats on the engagement

Happy Belated Birthday!! So The Heroes was my favorite of the First Law stand-alones and I think Joe does such a good job writing captivating battle scenes. He makes you care about every scene and every character it’s insane. And this book brings back one of the best First Law characters of all time!! The best inner monologue since Glokta

You should check out the other slayer comics. "The Vampire Slayer," follows an alt universe where Willow is the slayer. Also Xander is gay. Buffy is a regular girl and Faith is still a slayer.

Am I the only one who gets anxious when people wearing makeup book the edges of books on their faces? Maybe everyone has better smudge-resistant makeup than I do. If I held a book up to the side of my face, all the edges would be tan... 😛
