1. The Marvel Cinematic Universe: I don’t I need to explain why it’s number 1 2. The Dark Knight Trilogy: One of the great movie trilogies of all time. Great characters, complex stories, and I love all three 3. Toy Story: The best ANIMATED franchise of all time. All 4 movies are fantastic, Woody and Buzz maybe the greatest movie duo of all time. 4. Star Wars: I love The Original Trilogy plus The Force Awakens. Star Wars is so important to cinema, so easily one of the best franchises out there 5. Harry Potter: Great characters, action, and emotions. It’s one of the most fun worlds to explore. The 8 movies range from REALLY GOOD to FANTASTIC 6. Fast and Furious: Stupid as can be, fun as can be. 7. Mission Impossible: The greatest action franchise of all time. 4,5,6 get better and better. Some of the best action of the last 15 years. 8. For me MCU franchise are just Great Popcorn🍿Flicks. It's not qualify enough to be in my All-time Trilogies or Franchise List. For me it’s the MCU and it isn’t even close. Every movie works for me in one way or another. But it also has different genres within it. It also has some of the best developed characters I’ve ever seen. It also just feels like a universe you could live in. I’m constantly watching the movies on loop because I just love them so much and can’t stop myself from going back to these characters and stories over and over, so for me it is easily the best.
Star Wars will probably always be my favorite if only for the original trilogy and all the weight it carries. From 1977 - 1999 it was on top of the world with just 3 films, which were able to produce so much mileage from toys/videogames/comics/parodies. And some would argue the prequels still kept the franchise on top, especially if you were a kid during their releases. I think the Disney trilogy has soured the status of Star Wars unfortunately, a lot of teens/newbies will no longer hear about "that legendary space fantasy" in a positive light through the grapevine anymore.
My favorite franchises are: Mission Impossible, Transformers, The Middle Earth Saga, X-Men, Predator, and Star Wars. I'm sure John Wick will enter the list soon, but right now I see it as a great trilogy and not a great franchise (to me, a franchise has 4+ movies).
Great Ranking, Mr Burke! What a great list! My favorite has got to be the MCU, there is no movie in that Franchise that I don't enjoy at least quite a bit. And with 23 movies and 2 shows in that's a huge accomplishment. I also want to highlight the James Bond Franchise, of course there's some bad ones in the middle, but Casino Royale is in my top 20 Movies of all Time, Goldfinger and Skyfall in my top 30. Then of course I love the Dark Knight Trilogy, my favorite Trilogy of all Time, I think all three movies are perfect. The entire Spider-Man Franchise I love, there really isn't a movie there that I don't at least enjoy a lot, even TASM 2 and SM 3, up to Homecoming, Far From Home, Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2 and Into the SpiderVerse being five of the greatest Comic Book Movies ever. And lastly the Wizarding World, there is just so much Nostalgia for me there because it got me through a very tough time in my life. These are the five Franchises I love most, although there are still so many I love!
My list: 10. X-men 9. Dark Knight trilogy 8. Toy Story 7. The Matrix trilogy 6. Harry Potter 5. Pirates of the Caribbean 4. Middle Earth 3. Indiana Jones 2. MCU 1. Star Wars
Harry potter series Sam Raimi's spiderman trilogy Mission impossible series Transporter series Crank 1 and crank 2 Scary movie series MCU Jumanji series Child's play Final destination Jurassic park Home alone series Evil dead Still thjnking what i missed Shall Edit it later...
1. Lord of the rings 2. Harry Potter 3. Pirattes of the Caribbean 4. The dark knight 5. Back to the Future 6. Indiana Jones 7. Mcu 8. Toy Story 9. Shrek 10. Mission Impossible HM. Star Wars, John Wick, Planet of The Apes reboot, Spiderman Sam Raimi, Xmen, Rocky, The Godfather, Star Treak, Scream, Die Hard
1. MCU 2. Star Wars 3. Spider-Man Rami & TASM movies 4. Child’s Play/Chucky Movies 5. Harry Potter 6. DCEU & TDK Trilogy 7. Lord of the Rings 8. Planet of the Apes 9. Back to the Future 10. Nightmare on Elm Street Movies
To be honest right now, the Quiet Place franchise may actually make several lists in the future. If it continues it's mix of style and substance, then it could truly he the next big thing.
Nice list. Here’s mine 10. Spider-Man Maguire Trilogy 9. Planet of The Apes new trilogy 8. Mission Impossible 7. Toy Story 6. Rocky 5. Star Wars 4. Jurassic Park 3. Harry Potter 2. Middle Earth 1. Marvel Cinematic Universe Honorable mentions can be Back to the Future X-Men DCEU How to Train Your Dragon The Dark Knight Trilogy Kung Fu Panda Trilogy I’m sure there are a bunch I’m missing
A favorite franchise of mine that’s not mentioned is The Hunger Games Franchise. Not perfect. But it defined my teenage years. And it’s hard to argue the MCU as #1, given what Kevin Feige has accomplished. ... One future trilogy that will be a part of my all time favorite list will have to honestly be Paddington. It has only 2 films out atm and a 3rd is currently in production right now. And oh my god is that one of the greatest family-friendly franchises I have ever seen.
My favorite franchises include Mission impossible, Dark knight trilogy, New planet of the apes trilogy, Scream, Back to the future trilogy, John wick trilogy, Sherlock Holmes(Guy Ritchie movies) and of course Harry Potter.
Factors when considering this list: -. How good the movies are on average -. How many movies have I even seen in the franchise -. How much I look forward to future installments -. How immersed I feel in the world of the franchise -. Personal attachment -. 3 movies or more are required to be considered a franchise -. For franchises that span across multiple media, only feature films are considered -. For franchises broken up into several "sub-franchises", only the larger franchise is considered With that said... 15. Jumanji/Zathura 14. Wizarding World 13. Spiderman 12. Planet of the Apes 11. Star Wars 10. John Wick 9. James Bond 8. Die Hard 7. Batman 6. X Men 5. Mission: Impossible 4. Toy Story These are the big 3 for me, and they could really go in any order: 3. Middle Earth 2. The Hunger Games 1. Marvel Cinematic Universe

1. MCU 2. Star Wars 3. Rocky 4. Toy Story 5. LOTR 6. Planet of the Apes 7. Mission Impossible 8. Harry Potter 9. DC (all universes combined) 10. Indiana Jones In my opinion, the only Rocky movie that’s actually bad is V. Austin, if you could rate the first Rocky out of 10 what would it be?
My top 10, in no particular order: Planet of the Apes trilogy James Bond Raimi's Spider-Man Back to the Future Mission Impossible John Wick Die Hard (especially 1 & 3, fuck 5) Home Alone Spy Kids Kung Fu Panda
1.Middle-Earth 2.Terminator 3.Star Wars 4.MCU 5.Harry Potter (no Fantastic Beasts) 6.Dark Knight 7.Planet of the Apes (new trilogy) 8.Spider-Man (Sam Raimi) 9.Toy Story 10.Mission: Impossible
1. LOTR Trilogy 2. Mission Impossible Series 3. Dark Knight Trilogy 4. OG Star Wars (I really don't want to include the others, but RotS is great too) 5. Indiana Jones Trilogy (Screw the 4th film) 6. HtTYD Trilogy 7. Toy Story Trilogy (Screw the 4th film ….again) 8. MCU (I'm not a MCU film guy personally but it still changed the movie industry) 9. Back to the Future Trilogy 10. Rocky Franchise HMs: Mad Max Series & John Wick Series & DCEU Loved the video Austin!
This is gonna be a good list! My personal top 10 (off the top of my head) 10. DC 9. Mission impossible 8. Jumanji 7. Ghostbusters 6. Indiana Jones 5. Star Wars 4. LEGO movie franchise 3. Toy story 2.Spider-Man Honorable mentions: karate kid,Lord of the rings,How to train your dragon, Jurassic 1. MCU
My top 10 are:- 1 Harry Potter 2 Star Trek 3 Star Wars 4 Lord of The Rings 5 Indiana Jones 6 Dark Knight Trilogy 7 DCAU 8 Mission Impossible 9 DCEU 10 MCU
My guesses about Austin's list: 10. Cornetto Trilogy (Unsure if this is eligible but if it is then it's pretty well-off) 9. Mission: Impossible 8. Back to the Future (Well I know he loves 1 but is mixed on 2 & 3) 7. Planet of the Apes 6. Toy Story 5. Harry Potter 4. The Dark Knight trilogy 3. Star Wars 2. MCU 1. Lord of the Rings (This'll either be 1 or 2 for sure) EDIT: Hmm, not too bad! 9/10 were there (Despite the order), the Star Wars pick was surprising but understandable, and everything here made total sense! Good list man. My List: 10. Kung Fu Panda trilogy (A real delight. This franchise manages to balance dumb, juvenile humour with genuine emotional and thematic depth and constantly stunning art direction. 2 > 1 >> 3) 9. Rocky (Couple of greats that use earnestness to combat formula. Even the cheesy ones are enjoyable in their own ways. Creed > 1 > 2 > Creed 2 > 3 > 4 > 5) 8. Star Wars (Revolutionary, occasionally compelling, but always fantastical and visually stunning, with potential always looming, even in its rough spots. Empire > New Hope > Force Awakens > Return of the Jedi > Last Jedi > Rogue One > Revenge of the Sith > Solo > Phantom Menace > Clones > Rise of Skywalker > Clone Wars) 7. The Dark Knight trilogy (Genuine character depth meets masterful blockbuster filmmaking. This is a franchise which mostly sees through its brains rather than its brawn. Dark Knight > Begins > Rises) 6. Toy Story (Magical. Each film is a true masterclass in filmmaking and screenwriting, with care, complexity, and honesty given to each spectacular installment. All of these are excellent: 2 > 3 == 1 >= 4) 5. Three Colors trilogy (The only real "prestige" trilogy here but it deserves the spot for being consistently engaging, absolutely chockful of depth, and masterful in its filmmaking. Red == Blue == White) 4. Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy (The most idiosyncratic superhero films that transfer the essence of their characters into something which can only be done in cinema. Everything is intentional and entirely felt just about the entire way through, which is such a rarity in any franchise, let alone a superhero one. 2 > 1 > 3) 3. How to Train Your Dragon trilogy (Just like Rocky, this franchise is earnest and so confident in its audience and characters that we must care. I applaud Dean DeBlois and Chris Sanders for creating 3 films which allow their characters to experience true love, true loss, and true terror. 1 == 3 >= 2) 2. MCU (Frankly, I might be on the verge falling out of love with the MCU. This franchise caught me at the right time, just as I was getting into superheroes, and they brought it all to me: high-flying action spectacle, interesting characters, constant conflict, and mainstreamed beauty - even if those moments are in spurts. My top 5 are Infinity War, Winter Soldier, Guardians, Guardians 2, and Civil War) 1. Mission: Impossible (Bone-smashing, thrilling, intelligent, elegant: this franchise hasn't had a bad foot. Even the 2nd film, with all its insanity and doves and cheesiness, there's something strangely charming there. Of course Tom Cruise is the key, but so are De Palma, Woo, Abrams, Bird, McQuarrie, and all of the other writers, cinematographers, editors, actors, and other crew of this franchise. Everybody is at their highest game here, and the stakes are so high, the conflict so insane, that the superhuman stunts and action sequences feel logical, while weighted thanks to its characters; That's good storytelling. That's good acting. That's good film. That's Mission Impossible, and that's my favourite franchise that will ever be made. 6 > 5 == 4 == 3 == 1 >= 2)
Harry potter, back. To the future, how to train your dragon are some of my fav franchises🔥🔥 have been thinking to watch star wars and star trek but my gosh that universe is soo big!
I paused it when you mentioned you love Halloween to subscribe, lol that was enough for me to subscribe. I'll do my ranking now before seeing yours. Most franchises have at least one bad one, but i am overlooking that and focusing on my love overall, especially the ones i love. HM's Final Destination Child's Play Indiana Jones James Bond (pre-90's, i like the old ones or it would rank high) Hammer Dracula movies Hannibal Lector movies Scream American Pie Friday The 13th 10 Police Academy 9 Scary Movie 8 A Nightmare On Elm Street 7 Death Wish 6 Beverly Hills Cop 5 Psycho 4 The Omen 3 Die Hard 2 Dirty Harry 1 Halloween
My ranking of your top 10: 10. Rocky 9. Planet of the Apes (the new trilogy is pretty under appreciated imo it’s awesome, and I actually watched all of the old movies as a kid for some reason) 8. Harry Potter 7. X-Men 6. Mission Impossible 5. Toy Story 4. The Dark Knight 3. LOTR 2. Star Wars (I’m conflicted cuz I love the whole LOTR trilogy over every Star Wars movie, but I’ve been really hyped about Star Wars lately so it had to be here) 1. MCU
Okay so I am gonna try to predict your top 3 before watching the video - 1. LOTR 2. MCU 3. Harry Potter Edit - I can't believe I got all of them lol.I didn't get the numbers right though because I totally forgot about The Hobbit Trilogy 😀
Great great video, my 10 favorite franchise ( I haven't seen indiana jones or aliens yet ) from the "worst" to the best are: 10 007 9 x men 8 toy story 7 terminator ( the first two are the best ) 6 john wick 5 back to the future 4 star wars 3 mission impossible 2 the fast and the furious 1 fifty shades..... I'm joking, the mcu
My favourite movie series is back to the future because my favourite movie is Django and chain and since Django was in A Million Ways to Die in the West and Doug Brown was in A Million Ways to Die in the West derby in the Universe
1 = Middle Earth 2 = Back To The Future 3 = MCU 4 = Harry Potter 5 = Indiana Jones 6 = Star Wars 7 = How To Train Your Dragon 8 = Mission: Impossible 9 = Planet of the Apes 10 = X-Men and Pirates of the Caribbean
Mine has to be marvel too. But my 2nd and 3rd are star wars and the Zack Snyder trilogy. Also, i really like toy story but I hate toy story 4 it really ruined for me. I actually haven't watched all of the harry potter films i only watched the first 3 and i kind of enjoy them

My list:
10. X-men
9. Dark Knight trilogy
8. Toy Story
7. The Matrix trilogy
6. Harry Potter
5. Pirates of the Caribbean
4. Middle Earth
3. Indiana Jones
2. MCU
1. Star Wars
Love this ranking and all of those would probably be on my list too!
My favorite franchise is probably Jason Bourne, love the realistic action sequences and the first three movies are equally amazing.

My favorite movie franchise of all time (updated)

3. JP/jw
4. Star wars
5. Transformers

My top 5:

Factors when considering this list:
-. How good the movies are on average
-. How many movies have I even seen in the franchise
-. How much I look forward to future installments
-. How immersed I feel in the world of the franchise
-. Personal attachment
-. 3 movies or more are required to be considered a franchise
-. For franchises that span across multiple media, only feature films are considered
-. For franchises broken up into several "sub-franchises", only the larger franchise is considered
With that said...

3 Star Wars
4 Lord of The Rings
5 Indiana Jones
6 Dark Knight Trilogy
7 DCAU
8 Mission Impossible
9 DCEU
10 MCU
My guesses about Austin's list:
10. Cornetto Trilogy (Unsure if this is eligible but if it is then it's pretty well-off)
9. Mission: Impossible
8. Back to the Future (Well I know he loves 1 but is mixed on 2 & 3)
7. Planet of the Apes
6. Toy Story
5. Harry Potter
4. The Dark Knight trilogy
3. Star Wars
2. MCU
1. Lord of the Rings (This'll either be 1 or 2 for sure)
EDIT: Hmm, not too bad! 9/10 were there (Despite the order), the Star Wars pick was surprising but understandable, and everything here made total sense! Good list man.
My List:
10. Kung Fu Panda trilogy (A real delight. This franchise manages to balance dumb, juvenile humour with genuine emotional and thematic depth and constantly stunning art direction. 2 > 1 >> 3)
9. Rocky (Couple of greats that use earnestness to combat formula. Even the cheesy ones are enjoyable in their own ways. Creed > 1 > 2 > Creed 2 > 3 > 4 > 5)
8. Star Wars (Revolutionary, occasionally compelling, but always fantastical and visually stunning, with potential always looming, even in its rough spots. Empire > New Hope > Force Awakens > Return of the Jedi > Last Jedi > Rogue One > Revenge of the Sith > Solo > Phantom Menace > Clones > Rise of Skywalker > Clone Wars)
7. The Dark Knight trilogy (Genuine character depth meets masterful blockbuster filmmaking. This is a franchise which mostly sees through its brains rather than its brawn. Dark Knight > Begins > Rises)
6. Toy Story (Magical. Each film is a true masterclass in filmmaking and screenwriting, with care, complexity, and honesty given to each spectacular installment. All of these are excellent: 2 > 3 == 1 >= 4)
5. Three Colors trilogy (The only real "prestige" trilogy here but it deserves the spot for being consistently engaging, absolutely chockful of depth, and masterful in its filmmaking. Red == Blue == White)
4. Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy (The most idiosyncratic superhero films that transfer the essence of their characters into something which can only be done in cinema. Everything is intentional and entirely felt just about the entire way through, which is such a rarity in any franchise, let alone a superhero one. 2 > 1 > 3)
3. How to Train Your Dragon trilogy (Just like Rocky, this franchise is earnest and so confident in its audience and characters that we must care. I applaud Dean DeBlois and Chris Sanders for creating 3 films which allow their characters to experience true love, true loss, and true terror. 1 == 3 >= 2)
2. My top 5 are Infinity War, Winter Soldier, Guardians, Guardians 2, and Civil War)
Is there gonna be a live or a Conjuring rank
Live tomorrow 🙌🏻🙌🏻

5. Toy Story
4. The Dark Knight
3. LOTR
