Just built this on official, must say to anyone wanting, make sure to get an extra 100 pillars, more foundations and more fences, depending on the exact location you build you may need more stone walls, the rest should be fine, make sure to craft the sloped walls and triangle foundations too, The maker of this truly deserves more credit, I’ve never built anything other than a stone 10by10 😂😂😂 this is incredible. ❤️

i built this on my unofficial server, within 90%-95% of your version. i added some of my own minor tweaks when it came to the bedrooms on the upper floors. and i will say it was a project to say the least gathering all of the materials myself, i have over 40 hours into this build, and I'm at about 70% completion. builds like this are why i play ark at all. bravo good sir. very well done. i look forward to your future projects

I was surprised to see you brought in the dodo's instead of hiring the local penguins! lol Love the build. I agree with someone else's suggestion for a Viking longhouse, I would also suggest a pier for the longboats to pull aside and maybe even a ceremonial area? I'd love to see what you would come up with!
Yes someone else said about a viking longhouse, I better do some research into viking longhouses then 🤓. Cause I have no idea what they are at the moment haha, I will be an expert by the end of the week! Thanks for your comment 😆

I wish they would turn the snow effect off if there is a roof over top of it. I love the snow on the exterior, but I don't want the inside of my cozy home to look like it's freezing cold. Beautiful build by the way!
I completely agree with you! It looks fantastic on the outside with the effect, but then you go inside and get frostbite 😂😂, even with the fires on. The devs need to fix that ASAP lol

I had exactly the same reaction to the snow-covered pieces. Why are they still snow-covered inside, especially if there's a fire going? :::eye rolls::: (I have to imagine they put snow on the x-plants, because those are usually outside; crops are usually in a greenhouse.)

Great build overall. I really liked the mammoth and wolf parking. Haha. Only thing I would have added would be a bridge across the river, in front of the waterfall.

I'm really glad you think so 😆 how can I say no to that?! Are you thinking a wooden treehouse or like a metal steampunk type treehouse? I'm hoping to get a viking build video done for monday then I will consider starting a treehouse as a few people have asked
@LolsAtLance eh I wouldn't mind a metal 1 but I feel like wood would be better bc I play pve so i like 2 spend my metal on more valuable items, up 2 you tho a steam punk style treehouse would certainly look good aswell!!
Plus I think wood looks a little bit more aesthetically pleasing but obviously not my choice sure u will make it look amazing either way haha 👍😂
So I did some testing and you can get one size up dome from the first one and its slight smaller then larger dome. You would do one square roof/foundation and then three triangle roof/foundations. So the smallest dome is 6 walls, from there your first dome is 12 walls, next is the one I mentioned it’s 18 walls, and the large dome is 24 walls 👍.

How do you place the dodos so precisely? It took me forever to even get them on the chairs, and they still aren't facing exactly forward. Loved making this build!
Omg it took me forever hahaha!😂 I know your pain, the best thing to do is to remove the wall behind the reception, throw them in from above, set them on passive, and put the wall back. It takes a lot of tries but you'll soon be a dodo thrower master! XD

For the smaller circle bit almost halfway through the vid, you'd need to remove the square blocks completely, it's all triangle shapes to get smaller.

would be nice if the snow effect wasn't in the house. Especially after you got the fire going inside. I do like the snow touch outside on the buildings itself and on the decks, stairs and rails.

i love your channel and you build way better than i do but if i could change one thing it would be the small storages that you stack one on another in a corner then one beside it and then one parallel in front so the one in the corner bottom is hard to get too maybe flip the parallel box perpendicular and itll be easier to get too maybe slightly more estheticly pleasing and functionality ofc but other than that again beautiful builds keep up the amazing work

Love the build just wish it was a had a lil less fast forward even on slow mode it’s hard to fallow over all lovely build
A couple of people have said the same so I am learning and will slow down on my next videos 😄 sorry its fast! Hopefully you'll still be able to complete it! I believe! I guess I'm constantly worried about the video being too long so speed it up to fast but I just need to relax lol because people dont seem to mind long tutorials. I'm posting a viking build in 45 minutes that i did slowly for once :D
I think the inside snow will disappear later, they will add some function that will render the not snow biome when you have something upper the tile or a closed space.
I hope so 🙏🙏 that would be epic. That will be a hard function to add

I like it saw the video cover and liked kt Could be inproved with an aviary unit, and few other things. my only issue is with the the armory, lab and other spot. The mess of ceilings they are on lol. Which could probably be fixed in someway.

Lol Yeh, to be honest this wasn't my best by a LONG shot in terms of tutorials. If you watch any of my newer videos you will have a much easier step-by-step tutorial! This is just slightly older now so I was getting to grips on knowing how to make these tutorials for people XD
You actually can get a pointy roof off a single wide flat top, but it’s very annoying. Sypher Sam utilizes the technique in his Viking GREAT House build.

How do you get the greenhouse walls to be so transparent? In my ps5, you can’t barely see through them
hmmm it might be that the graphics settings on PS5 make it so you cant see as well through them, if you like, come onto my discord server and share some images of it so I can see, theres a few people on my server who play on PS5, so they'll be able to tell you if its normal

Built this on official! Built the domes on the outside of the base, went to put in the decking and it won’t let me over lap!
someone else has said this :O it makes me so sad that they didnt allow overlapping on official because for ARK survival evovled official they did! :( I cant believe it. I do have a solution but its really hard to explain over text, I may have to make a video

Thank you for your reply, I managed to fix it. What I did was build the decking out and then destroy the big greenhouse as it wasn’t connecting to the decking and then build it again connecting it to the existing decking if that makes sense lol

Those are metal water tanks 👍 you can stack them ontop of eachother if you enable snapping 😆
I’m keeping trying to figure out when you building something in the snow area the structures should been covered with snow and it look pretty good but it’s those do that’s on ps5 is it only pc because of graphics are better or idk 🤷🏼♂️. What is it only for Xbox or pc or is that a setting for it or something??? It’s driving me crazy not knowing where the problem lies is it only for pc ? Xbox ? Or is the only one official server?? I was testing out on single player and still no snow affect I was trying different servers and no snow effect so is the a settings or is it a bug or is it only me ??
so you're saying you're playing on PS5 and there is no snow effect for you? Do you know other PS5 players that have the snow effect? If they do it might be a bug on your install but not 100% sure. It will probably be patched at some point 🤞 hope it gets fixed 😬
@@LolsAtLance I found the issue and it’s because of the HDR on PlayStation was turned on and I turned it off and I got det snow effects

build a treehouse!
Can anyone tell me how they are overlapping ceilings because I can’t. I’m on vanilla ark official servers and it won’t let me overlap and I’m using ceiling to ceiling no foundations
I've only just found out that they don't allow ceiling clipping in ARK official from other comments :(.... They used to in ARK evolved, but suddenly they don't in ARK ascended official?! :( I think so anyway, hopefully someone replies to this who plays on official to confirm, but this is my assumption. Maybe theres a work around

I HATE that the heat does not melt the snow inside the home. I refuse to build in the snow until they fix that. I tried fire and air conditioners nothing gets rid of the snow inside. ..
But snow aside i love the build

I'm currently on a caslte build I hope to get out some point in the next week, then a winter build, then after that this might be a good one i'll see
I don't know why, but on creative I can't fly levitate anymore. Space key doesn't do anything anymore. And also all my torches don't make light anymore, even "ON". There is just the visual of the flame making no light at all, that is just so weird looking. The only one working is the torch I have on me.
That's really odd, have you tried reinstalling? Or verifying game files if your on steam?
@@LolsAtLance I found the reason, it was the French version which is not working well yet, again, so I switch it back to English, and now it's working fine again. Torches are' still broken though, but I don't use them anymore anyway.

No this is completely vanilla, if you're talking about overlapping you can overlap ceiling tiles in vanilla ARK
Do you have to gather items in order to build ?
He is using "Creative Mode" in single player so he does not have to gather resources. Otherwise, you would have to gather.
I'm in creative mode but normally in survival you need to gather materials using dinosaurs to help you :)
This is why I don't build in the winter biome anymore. Dumb feature from WC. Use to be my favorite biome

You can literally build this one anywhere, doesn't have to be on a cliff or by the snow at all, you just wont need the staircase going down the cliff and the snow wont be showing on the wood :)

I really like it, I wanted to do a build inspired by Castle Black in GOT and it helps sell the cold climate immersion. I get it’s not realistic but eh, neither is tek.
