Anybody remember the mcain ad for corn and the 2 kids are on the roof then the dad says “the rains are here” I remeber watching that ad everyday for a good 10 years
I kept waiting for the programme to come on! Then after the X files ad, I thought the programme I was waiting for was going to be on! Notice how there's always a tv show as the last ad? (Or used to be)
How did STD night rates pass approval for an ad idea? My guess is they knew it would stick in people’s heads and make immature people like myself laugh.
The internet was in its infancy, Smartphones were a thing of science fiction, home computers were still new and exciting, and people were far more chill. It was a good time.
This was a great era. No political correctness. No agenda being shoved down everyone's throats. These days, ads are full of agenda. Lgbtqiabcdefg, feminism, race, politics etc. It turned into a joke.

The grandpa I'd say.
Yep. I hated the fuck out of that ad after a few years.
Shit those Yogo ads were legendary haha
This is also from a time where the individual customer still mattered and there was true competition.
Those Yogo ads are so so good.. I recall them vividly from when I was a teenager in the 90’s
OMG. I totally forgot about the Pizza Pockets. I loved them when I was a kid. They use to sell them at my schools canteen.
Telstra "STD" nights lol
Soon as seen that ad, went straight to the comments 😄
I skipped the you tube ads to watch ads
I pay for UA-cam subscription to avoid ads and now I’m watching ads 😂
Barry the yogo gorilla were the best adds ever !
Forgot how beautiful the Ansett ads were. Right up there with British Airways and Brampton Island. 🏝
They were a great airline, even better than Qantas. Speaking of which, the Qantas share offer ads - talk about the beginning of the end
Also the funny thing is I still see some of these cars on the road so that says a lot about how they don’t make them like they use to.
Even today, I’d rather drive any of them over the modern Chinese junk
Aussie promos for MWC and X-Files are GOLD.

You can tell this was aired in winter from the sheer amount of cold and flu tablet commercials!
Yeah that’s what I was about to say
Thanks for putting these up. Just recently went to Bega cheese factory two ads would be great for their museum

Goldmark jewellers…where you could get a 5% discount card! ha ha
Miss them supreme and hawaiian pizza pockets 🤗
You can still buy them. I bought some last week in woolies.
Ken Oath
Those Yogo ads were on meth.

Gee that Irish one at 20:00 really tests your ability to hear that accent
Thank you for these
Interesting to watch retro commercials from other countries. I still lived in Omaha, Nebraska back in 1995.
You should have stayed there.
@@looksirdroids9134 I live in California now. Not Australia.
@@termitesc.aardwolf3644 Ignore the troll. ;)
That’s mean but it was funny.

Was STD Night Rates really a good choice for a name in the 90s?
haha. good one.
Yes
Oh god the Nescafé ads !! 🙄🤢
Singing along to a Kantong commercial.... What's wrong with me?
I know , these ads still work I was thinking about having kantong for dinner tomorrow night.
That’s if it’s still around.
Bet all those medicines had codeine and pseudoephedrine 😑
lol yeah they sure did. They had it until at least 2006 ( I think) in OTC medicines until they got word that the junkies were extracting it.
Ahh sudafed☺ how many long nightshifts you got me through😂
The singers in the goldmark ad sound so so much like human nature 🤔
Definitely them!!!😂
Hello do you have àny mtv épisodes from Channel nine With Richard wilkins ?
Life must of been so beyond boring for people to enjoy this tripe.
The internet was in its infancy, Smartphones were a thing of science fiction, home computers were still new and exciting, and people were far more chill. It was a good time.
You sound like a bundle of fun yourself 👍
8.95% loan....
