I don't think there was any malice in their comment. I do however, firmly agree with you. It's not about what you want, that doesn't matter. I am my own self. However, many countries are starting to learn this. Cut them some slack. The Beauty standards, and just culture in general in Korea and ASIA are totally different in the US and Western world. She wears a sexual outfit to represent how women are often expected to do what their male significant other wants in (and out of) bed so she says that "I won't be caught dead, letting a man tell me what I should do in my bed". Girls are expected to be sweet, outgoing, charming, and we are heavily looked down upon by society if we're not, girls are also expected to be weak, pretty, feminine, and this song is saying that she's not, and that makes her a nightmare in the eyes of others but she is all the more stronger because of this. This is why she says "I'm tired and angry, but somebody should be." She's tired of being expected to act a certain way just because she is a girl and it makes her angry. So when you called her charming, and said that she shouldn't cut her hair because she is prettier with it long, they were missing the whole point of the song. She won't keep her hair long so that men like it, she won't be weak or submissive, and she won't be told what to do in sex. She will only be herself even though people won't like her for it and will call her a nightmare for it.

They are not from America, what is going on with the MeToo movement and women's empowerment is not like other countries.
