Every time I re-watch the last two cutscenes of the quest, it makes me teary-eyed. This quest was well-made and possibly the best out of all of them. I've gotta stop re-watching this quest or else I'll start making a waterfall!

Mtashed’s explanation of why he (and a lot of us all) hate Paimon is deadass perfect. I’d be perfectly fine with her being in the game if MC actually had more lines and dialogue, because Paimon does say some funny shit, especially during the Dragonspine/Albedo event, I just wish Hoyoverse stopped trying to make her the Baby Yoda of their company
Honestly It's not even an excuse at this point Zachary Aguilar I'm sure would love to voice a bunch of stuff for Archon quest I hope they have him talking more as the story goes on especially when we get to Khaenriah like can you imagine we get to Lhaenriah to find out sibling and he doesn't say a word that would be so dumb I hope they fix that

yeah..thats happen when you have both gender as playable...from their perspective, its quite a storage and problems to put both voice in the game and cutscenes..even if they put only aether voice in all cutscene, of course lumine players will riot...i hope they will figure this out

Ac Odyssey did it as well where you can play as 2 different characters and Genshin isn’t exclusively mobile and even if it was it literally has so much content and data for a mobile game. Even if storage was a problem, they’d no doubt figure a way around it considering they most likely hope to have all of Teyvat available by like 2024

That final cut scene with Boyang and Bosacius got me emotional 😭. Imagine trapping there forever, every day all Boyang can do is long for return to your friends and family, only to realize it’s impossible. Bosacius cant even remember who he is. Im glad he did in his last moment, and join his brothers and sisters to the other side. But both Boyang and Bosacius ended so tragically.
I cried when Xiao fell but cried more when Zhongli saved him. This is the only time I’ve cried over genshin, and I don’t regret it.
Me too! I was already crying thinking Xiao was going to die, but when he got saved I cried even more but it was like a relief cry 😭
During Bosacius's cutscene i got very bad goosebumps. It's just so sad to see how all of his brothers and sisters looked so happy together, and to see the finale of all of them like that...
I feel like they subdued Paimon's role a bit which I really liked. MC got 2 voiced words but it feels like they're talking/participating more. Also puzzles like these make it way more engaging than just alternating dialogue, fighting a few NPCs, more dialogue etc.
Why did I laugh so hard when he talks about how he understands why Xiao is emo.. "Everyone keeps dying like no shit he's emo" It kinda feels nice when people take a moment to admit they do know why Xiao is suffering all the time and why he moans so much :3

@a------------ It's a lot better than the train-wreck Inazuma was, and the lore and backstory are really good, they put less dialogue, they had us doing more stuff instead of sitting and reading a wall of text, and everything was done fairly well and clearly.
@a------------ wdym has nothing to do with the main story lmao. The purpose of this "filler" is to show us about the yaksha that helped zhongli, an ARCHON back in the ARCHON WAR that is important to the main story. This story also revolved around the effects of the CATACLYSM that happened 500 years ago that is basically the main plot of the game. The hole that you're so pissed about is a mind-fuck hole where no one can exit, well of course they got to talk a lot. It's a lot better with itto because it's not a boring serious shit, and they did actually progress and not just going back and forth. I don't know what you're talking abt, itto even helped. Now if you really did pay attention, you wouldn't butthurt yourself towards itto who is a comedic relief and not supposed to be taken seriously.

Genshin has its their own lore and communication between characters are always important to show their personalities and if you think is garbage, then tell me IRL what you doing right now literally garbage 90% too to show your personality. If you cant even convincing the other why is not good, then you practically not smart, otherwise it wouldnt be the case.

i literally screamed when i saw xiao fall cause the first thing that ran across my mind was that they were gonna canonically kill him off
Zhongli saving Xiao was the best part in Genshin, I jumped out of my seat out of excitement, never was so proud I play such a cool game!
I teared up when Bosacious scene came up at the very end.
Not only coz of the fact he chose to sacrifice himself in eternal darkness so everyone else could be safe like a true brother, but that he did all of that for the safety of his brothers in arms; just to fall in a pit with no way in and out.
And the idea of being putting yourself in Boyang's shoes along with Bosacious in that situation is terrifying and sad.
He has all that built up Karma seeping out of him, slowly driving you mad but at the same time you don't want him to die because there's only two of you in that cave with not enough light left.. and being left alone in the dark with no sound and no source of light is something I never want to imagine.
That cutscene gave me, at the same time, both the saddest and scariest feeling I've ever felt from any other game cutscene.
I watched these cutscenes countless times now from all of my followed streamers, and you know what, i cried to all of them, ngl..yeah, so good..
Raiden's 2nd story quest and this new Archon quest. Comparing these to the Inazuma Archon quest, Raiden and Kokomi's 1st story quest, Genshin is now improving alot more. Don't forget the Albedo quest too
Especially compared to the Liyue archon quests too. You can really see their quests improving as the game goes on.

God I loved this Archon quest. Everything was great. Unfortunately Genshin making this only means our expectations are incredibly high for the sumeru archon quests

a break or intermission from the main storyline, so if this could top the next archon quest then that is something
@@BadassHatdog the archon quest had been gradually getting better ever since the inazuma main storyline, and this archon quest is alot of people's fav to date, so yeah it's a good sign, hopefully they keep this up.
This is why I HOPE they included the Event Quest back into the base game. Not the event challenges/rewards but just the story event quest. You don't get more rewards out of them compared to any other story quest and they as real GOOOD righting into these Event Story it's a shame to miss out on them.

i'm so glad you made a video like this with the content. i feel like others miss so much if they don't watch your streams.
Story wise, the events are mostly for filler save for the Unreconciled Stars event, where if you do play that it does change part of the story line in when you meet Scaramouche again. But other than that, if Genshin does happen to do another event like that, they should also give players a way to play those events considering how important it is to the lore.

10:04 caught me off guard
I actually took a break from the game for a week or two and missed the inazuma festival. Finally logged in again and got all emotional and sucked in by this quest. The stories are definitely improving. It reminds me why I still play this game. The puzzles are well thought out and creative and the story kicked me in the feels so hard...One of the best stories ever on par with Zhongli's and Venti's stories.
This man can literally do an impression of anyone, I love it 😂

I still get teary eyed rewatching that Xiao-Zhongli scene. I was shouting “XIAO NO!” the first time I watched it and was cheering when Zhongli came to the rescue. Cut scenes like that is the reason I still play this game.
Xiao: Has thousands of years of PTSD and self imposed isolation. Still gets called an edgy teen based only on surface level appraisals. (He is totally tsundare though).
kinda the problem with his ENG VA. Going too hard with the edgy teen approach. Dont know about KR, but Japanese and Chinese does a better job presenting his character based on his lore. No hate on ENG dub ofcourse, they have many talented VA's like Zhongli, Venti, Yoimiya, Itto etc.
@@michaelshahoe mihoyo are the ones who are making decisions in voice direction. And eng VA isn't going "too hard" with edge, because that's how Xiao is, he's genuinely trying to push people away from him because of his karma, that was a part of his development in this quest too. People just overused word edgy to the point when it makes no sense whatsoever.
@@alreadyd1d When Im refering to the "edgy" part, it isnt about his personality. It's the way the VA delivers his lines. He sounds like an edgy teen. I dont know what else to say. It isnt about the lines he's saying, it's about the tone of voice being used to deliver said lines. All the dubs has the same voice lines(ofcourse translated to their respective language beside Chinese). But the way they deliver those lines depends on the VA themselfs. Since you cant tell Xiao's ENG edginess apart from his other counterparts, let's use Cloud Chaser during the Shenhe event.
When Cloud Chaser got denied by Shenhe, the ENG VA gave their own interpretation of being an "annoyed/insulted Mom type" by Shenhe's action. Which created a great comedic moment. I personally prefer the ENG Cloud Chaser for this reason despite what Im going to say next. Unlike the ENG Cloud Chaser, both Japanese and Chinese version delivered the same line differently. They delivered the line more neutral/emotionless because Cloud Chaser is an adepti. Adepti are staten to keep their emotions more in check, so this portrayal is more accurate to the lore.
@@michaelshahoe the way they deliver the line has nothing to do with VA themselves. I will repeat, mihoyo are the ones who are responsible for directing the voice lines, not the VA. If developers themselves have directed voice lines in this way, then there's no such thing as "this is more lore accurate", simply because you don't know that better then mihoyo themselves. They can choose to portray different aspects of the character in different languages, but it will remain lore accurate regardless. Just like Xiao's eng VA portrayed his desire to push people away from him, which is something that IS IN LORE and was a major part of his character, other versions portrayed his calmness, which is also part of his character. And Cloud Retainer was shown to be more emotional then others during Liyue archon quest, so her being salty isn't out of her character too.

Im not sure why you keep repeating something like that which has nothing to do with it. I guess you dont know what the definition of an edgy teen means when we're talking about voice delivery.

I think Raiden story made sense, it was the best way to seal with it, i mean she is literally so detached from inazuma, it's was necessary to make herself see what she missed

Zhongli moment was so sick
i think that experiencing the game as it unfold its what makes it so powerful and meaningful . the limited events, the story, living through this story quest as a community on twitter seeing all the fanarts and share those powerful moments as it happen , it something new players will never get to witness . and its so sad that people complain of waiting cause its like speedruning life ,
this game is incridble and it keeps getting better every patch. and im sorry to say that, but IT IS about the story, not about the abyss or "end game content"
getting to know more about Xiao and connected with him in this level is something so dear to many of us, he's story is incredible, im excited to see what the future brings to genshin story

I screamed when zhongli appeared the first time, then sobbed when xiao fell. Then started sobbing harder when zhongli came back.
This quest was something that reminded me, why I played this game, the excitement I had back then.

This guest was what made me pull for Xiao.. i'm not a meta player and i play mostly for the story, and pull for the characters who i like and find interesting. This guest made me cry, seeing ow Xiao was fully ready to sacrifice himself. After that, i couldnt not pull

No matter what you think of Paimon, this quest showed that how loyal of a friend she is. Even when she was panicking at thought of her death she said that she didn't want to die and be with the Traveler.

For me, Paimon in English is unbearable in so many situations and makes so many of the serious scenes so cringe just from her outbursts and pretty much "rude" remarks. I know that her ENG VA is talented but as Paimon... it just makes me wanna mute my speakers immediately.

I for one, actually like it. Listening to the voice-over between the Traveler and Paimon soothed me into thinking that She's really there to help us, and it helps - RP wise - that I don't really talk much in real life too, which causes people to misunderstood me sometimes.

You should still be able to play. you will just miss out on the event challenges and rewards. I say this cause this is an interlude chapter, and not an event chapter, its shows up on the archive as a chapter seperate to the archon chapters.

Mtashed is definitely the most entertaining genshin content creator
I love Xiao but he is the shortest male character by a wee bit if you compare him with the others in the party selection including Aether. Also fun fact it's canon that he is also the prettiest, many npcs call him beautiful.
Im writing this purely because my resin is almost full and I felt like writing this.
End note, I spent too much time on this because I was actually thinking about what could be different and I gained 4 more resin than I needed (2 resin was needed)
the highs of genshin are fucking insane (story, character and world design, exploration, sound and music) but the lows counter balance it (artifacts, resin, gatcha, no overworld replayability, zero endgame content for experienced players)
Such a shame the game is a gatcha, so many parts of the game have to bend the knee so that the gatcha and resin systems can work as they are intended (make people spend money). artifact RNG is to the point where you need to farm months for the piece you want, gatcha is exorbitant and feels like its rigged against the player, and the lack of endgame content (spiral abyss isn't it) means that players who invested enough or spent enough can just breeze through the game with no challenge to engage with.
The Worst Part Is it could at least be better than what it currently is:
- If the gatcha *Has* to stay then lowering pity on all banners to 60, with event/weapon banner rate ups being guaranteed at pity and anything before is just free cons for standards or rest for next character/weapon. Wishes being lowered to 120 would mean you could get 1 wish every 2 days instead of 3 which would actually go a long way, especially if you get welkin and would also incentivize exploration even more.
- For Events creating minigames that rotate weekly (such as hide and seek), permanent creative features like the create-a-domain event, Past Events Being Repayable For New Players with event weapons like festering and cinnabar being available at r1 as a reward and current version events having a free constellation/refinement for any 4 star character or weapon respectively. commissions could simply be the same with random events happening as you traverse the world to keep it from feeling totally empty
- for Resin, it would be perfectly fine if condensed wasn't capped, artifacts didn't consume artifacts unless you wished for a very specific piece (EG; a Crimson Witch HP sands with Double Crit) at which resin acts as a way to guarantee that drop at the cost of one condensed, and the only things that required resin were things that would be talent, weapon, boss and weekly boss materials (weekly bosses would make a lot more sense if artifacts could be farmed without resin)
- Spiral Abyss could simply add new floors instead of replacing existing ones that make use of specific gameplay mechanics and enemy's. perhaps add a new tier to the spiral abyss that is just a constant onslaught of enemy's that progressively scale with no cap as to how high it can go, with EXP books, enhancement ore, more and talent books being the key reward for each wave, cons for any 5 stars could be for getting to a milestone wave, and it could be that in order to claim you're reward you have to decide to end the run. this would mean players would have to choose between pushing further for constellations and getting out with the resources they've earned.
- Chests could respawn at random up to 5 times per region, giving players a reason to go back through the world and see what chests have respawned. challenges could be done at different levels, scaling up at each along and always starting at the lowest that way you don't miss out.
Theres probably more but I've spent too much time on this.
@mtashed i think venti is also hiding his true powers. because when signora took his gnosis he didn't resist that much. I mean it might have been his plan to disappear for 200 years just to make everyone think his weak . I think the cataclysm that happened 500 years ago in the game made him do this

I knew Xiaos Real Name. You can find it in a book. "Alatus" means "winged" wich makes sence cause Xiao is also called "the golden winged king" and his true Form is a Bird.
I know he's not really a lore-focused player, but there are so many moments in this I was like, You... wasn't paying attention, were you.
