It's always interesting to revisit places from the past and see how they've evolved. If you decide to explore further, I hope you uncover some interesting details about the castle-like home and its journey through the years. If you have more questions or if there's anything else I can assist you with, feel free to let me know!

Fort Wayne can be a suitable market for short-term rentals, especially if there is demand from travelers, tourists, or individuals in need of temporary accommodations. Factors to consider include the city's attractions, events, and the overall tourism and business climate.
Also for the northern neighborhoods they just built a brand new elementary school for Northwest Allen district. I don't think they've drawn the district lines yet to find out which neighborhoods will feed into that school though.

Keep away from anything south of the downtown area. I wouldn't recommend anything in the immediate proximity to the east or north of downtown as well. Long story short, go north. Fort Wayne has a bus transit system but it's very limited. Unless you want to constantly take an Uber or lift, you're going to need to learn to drive. Welcome to Fort Wayne!
it's not the realtor's fault, but the market's: from an outsider's perspective, I don't get why Ft Wayne city isn't more valuable than the suburbs. I get it: schools, but like the city needs some loving too for Ft Wayne to being just known for being cheap
There are several emerging neighborhoods in the city that have home values on par with the suburbs. The gap is definitely closing I'd say. I live in the city and I love it
There’s some in the 46807 area too, but most of our older homes are wood sided. Unfortunately we don’t have an area that is mainly brick homes like that. At least none that I can think of.
I lived in Fort Wayne and in Churubusco for about 42 years. I worked at International Harvester for 35 years. I was there from 1970 to 2012, I enjoyed Fort Wayne and the surrounding area. Good schools and lots of things to do, golf
Very enjoyable video. You completely updated me on the growth and desirable areas to live. We lived on a farm near Ossian, IN., almost 40 years ago. We are retired and have thought about a very small lake cottage for summer. As we live in Texas, but have family in Fort Wayne area. Any bargains for lake cottages? In the 150,000 price range.

OK thanks will check it out
When the Black Hawk division had an open house, I remember a fascinating home built like a castle. Wonder what it looks like now.

Check out the North Side Neighborhood Association.
Its a great place to live for sure
Listings don't show names of neighborhoods...but they show zip codes...could you add the zip codes?
I’ll definitely put that on my list! Let me know if there’s anything else you think I should cover. 💯
Also for the northern neighborhoods they just built a brand new elementary school for Northwest Allen district. I don't think they've drawn the district lines yet to find out which neighborhoods will feed into that school though.

Great neighborhood!
I'm moving from NYC, it's refreshing but looking gor spartment for myself and 12yo daughter, also I don't drive... yet do you have recommendations?
Yes, would you be interested in something close to downtown or more in the suburbs?

What's the best area for a young single person in their 20s?
Check out West Central
Where are the neighborhoods with large brick homes? Looking to live in an area similar to Grosse Pointe, MI.
Northside (46805)
@@tamarawilson4907 thank you!

@@theoriginallivinginfortwayne I appreciate it. I'm here now in Leo in a new build, but would prefer a brick home more a little bit more south.
Compared to.other cities they practLly give homes away
Thanks for taking the time to comment. 👍
