When you look at the list of gay singers; David Bowie, George Michael, Freddie Mercury, Elton John, Boy George, Ricky Martin non of them came out as gay or bisexual until after their careers took off whereas Adam had stated it as soon as he could after Idol. He started off his career knowing who he was and being proud of it instead of 'hiding' it. It speaks a lot about the kind of person he is but he has so much talent and not really being reconsidered for it in the States which makes me wonder if him being gay has put America off (most of his success seems to be international where people don't care who he sleeps with), even though it should be based on his singing not his type of partner.

@Amarynthine it wasn't a big deal in europe. Guy/Guy or Girl/girl kisses are normal here, and most countries in Europe allow gay marriage and are completely open about their support.. Just because america is such a conservative country doesn't mean the rest of the world is
The funny thing is that now they will ask you what questions you do not want to do more and you will keep talking about the same things. But now it has a novelty: Rick Martin. When I read about it, I thought of you because I thought Adam is helping people be more open and not afraid to expose themselves. If this has happened, congratulations to you.

I hope the second part is about his music.
I thought that he would mention "the kiss" as the most asked questions cause they seem to ask about that in every interview.
