Would have been cool if the entire south asia could integrate its economy better. At the end of the day the south asian nations only have themselves to help them. Instead of turning towards other countries outside the region, they should work together to prosper together. I dont think space is a big problem, on the contrary if they figure out how to manage the space well then the country as a whole will be far more efficient meaning they will have lesser costs and more profits, This is the very reason that cities are so rich that is because the large amount of people in a very dense region. Look at Dharavi, even though its a slum its makes a lot of money compared to the cost as so many people are crowded in such a small place. Of course I am not saying that everyone should live like that, its a very harsh way of living. Countries like Singapore are 6 times more dense than Bangladesh also Bangladesh has already curved its birthrate and Its population is increasing very slowly and will peak in around 2040.

Bangladesh has been historically one of the if not the richest places in the world and can regain that. The positives i see is that interms of its basics it has done few things extremely well 1) good level of basic education 2) having high woman participation in workforce compared to rest of the Indian subcontinent. 3) Also they dont have an aggressive country on their borders thus they can focus totally on development. There are a few critical downsides. 1) Right now their economy is too dependent on textile, as the wages rise in Bangladesh other countries can challenge this industry 2) Right now politically stable but its a de-facto dictatorship thus can lead to political instability in the future. 3) Though there is a strong secular forces in the country there is still a very strong fundamentalists groups which can hinder their economic progress. Many would say that corruption is also a big issue but I dont think so, Now there is definitely lot of corruption but I dont think that is a primary hindrance to growth.

My grandma's old house was right on the land Ruppur Powerplant is being built, they took it, gave us the money for the crops and didn't even bother paying for the land. They also demolished the family graveyard we had there. We are not the only ones who had this issue but who can you complain to anyway. Look at Dharavi, even though its a slum its makes a lot of money compared to the cost as so many people are crowded in such a small place. Of course I am not saying that everyone should live like that, its a very harsh way of living.
Countries like Singapore are 6 times more dense than Bangladesh also Bangladesh has already curved its birthrate and Its population is increasing very slowly and will peak in around 2040.

Bangladesh has been historically one of the if not the richest places in the world and can regain that. The positives i see is that interms of its basics it has done few things extremely well
1) good level of basic education
2) having high woman participation in workforce compared to rest of the Indian subcontinent.
3) Also they dont have an aggressive country on their borders thus they can focus totally on development.
There are a few critical downsides.
1) Right now their economy is too dependent on textile, as the wages rise in Bangladesh other countries can challenge this industry
2) Right now politically stable but its a de-facto dictatorship thus can lead to political instability in the future.
3) Though there is a strong secular forces in the country there is still a very strong fundamentalists groups which can hinder their economic progress.
Many would say that corruption is also a big issue but I dont think so, Now there is definitely lot of corruption but I dont think that is a primary hindrance to growth.

Its look like Bangladesh growing. But if you go deeply on people’s lifestyle, education, job capacity you wil find terrifying situation. Low-end class people’s are getting poor day by day. They are suffering more day by day. Education is fully uncontrolled. GDP might show that we are growing but in deep People's are suffering so much. The good thing about that, however, is that Bangladesh is set to be on par with the likes of the Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam in a few years in terms of GDP per capita - still a poor country, yes, but a farcry from how the Bangladeshi economy currently fares in relation to the economies of the three other countries I just mentioned. I hope the economic growth continues to be rapid for the decades to come :D

My grandma's old house was right on the land Ruppur Powerplant is being built, they took it, gave us the money for the crops and didn't even bother paying for the land. They also demolished the family graveyard we had there. We are not the only ones who had this issue but who can you complain to anyway. Now we are near the Powerplant, and man, it's so weird, everytime I go near it, I get Chernobyl vibes

correction, bangladesh's GDP is $ 409 billion as of december 2021.
Nope its $416bn. After the rebasing and final year calculations current GDP was $416bn year end.
