Signalling is something I am leaving until later, although it would mainly be semaphore for the period on my layout. You made that look much easier than I suspect it was. Good to see you appearing in front of camera, and I am enjoying the way you are trying out new things in the production of the videos. Stephen.

Hi Stephen , thankyou for your kind feedback . to be honest yes I made the signal you saw with the feather fist. so was was confident to make another with the camera this time. I suppose the hard bit is to get the LED in place and to Solder the wires on as things are very small , the rest i guess is just like modelling in n gauge. off to the opticians to get new glasses now lol

Hi Geoff great video showing the build and connection of the colour light signals, I am sure others will find the inspiration to have go for themselves.

Thanks Steve , was fun to make . made me a bit crossed eyed at times lol

I can imagine the eye strain, I am just contemplating moving to N from OO because of space I have available, building some N gauge building kits to see if I can cope with the small size of N. but see how we go.

Hi Geoff - most impressed with your CR signals building skills. I attempted it once and messed up - hence the reason I just get Paul at CR signals to build them. Paul is really good as he will build you any combination of signal you want. You might have tempted me to try a kit version for a second time. Cheers Euan

Thanks Euan, it was good fun to build and took an age in trying to film it . Ive just sent Paul a copy so i bet his watching it with hands overs his eyes

Thanks John , if your list is like mine i'll be working till i'm 95 . Is hard to know where to pitch these as I dont want to confuse folks or to tell people how to suck eggs so to speak.

Hi Geoff, fantastic update and really interesting “how to” on building and programming signals. They are beautiful looking signals and will have to add them to my wish list 😉 As for video quality, After watching Techmoan , I use a LED panel from Neewar. The extra light makes a huge difference to video quality and helps the old eyes 👀 too. Keep up the great work. Very best wishes from County Wicklow ☘️

Thanks Paul was fun to build , I did have a magnifying glass with a built in light over the top to give more light but i think your right i'll have to invest in a better flood light .

That is a really good signal, a few of those around a junction will look very realistic. Not sure how you are driving the signal with the route indicator, but can I make a suggestion? On full size signals the route lights always come on before the green, there is a circuit that detects if the route lights have illuminated correctly and only then is the green lit. That’s all - I have stared at signals too much I think. Great video work, I need to improve my skills in that area.

thankyou , ive got the feather connected via the point motor and the signals switching via Itrain - when i get time i'll look to do the feather via Itrain as well to get the correct sequence . thanks for the feedback much appreciated

Hi Geoff, really great to watch you putting one of these kits together, fantastic job. The section on the signal controller was also very informative. Well done. I look forward to watching future updates on your excellent layout. Best Wishes from Paul at CR Signals.

Great video Geoff. Just glad I stuck with OO gauge. N would be too fiddly for me and I would just get frustrated. Roy.

I'm sure there are many 00 gauge models which are just as frustrating but i know what you mean , take care , Geoff

@@flinthillsmodelrailway you’re certainly not wrong there. It’s more about how much frustration you can tolerate before it stops being fun!

I believe that CR Signals will supply their signals pre-built as common anode on request.

Hi James , Yes I did speak to him about this, Knowing how many i need i decided to Make them so to save some money plus I enjoyed getting back to my old electrical Engineering days when I used to fix PCB in telephones exchanges ( showing my age now) Geoff

@@flinthillsmodelrailway Ahh, yes, a lot of signals from CR can be somewhat costly, especially if they are built to order.
There is much to be said for electrical engineering! There's a member of the club of which I am a member who is a retired electronic engineer of some sort from whom I have learnt a great deal.

Was that your nail varnish Geoff? Was amazed at the opening shot of you behind your terminus, those trains looked huge, for a minute I thought you had switched to OO.
Again very interesting content, all I need now is for you to do one on semaphore signals, only joking.
    Regards Chris

Hi Chris , Just catching up with comments . actually that is my nail varnish which i got from amazon. Wife tells me I have to store it in the fridge . I might have to look into the semaphore signal for my Club soon . all fun . Take care. Geoff
