Fellow Fairbanksan here! I work up at Knox and every time I drive past Pedro’s I always tell myself that I need to stop and pan on my way home from work. Every summer for the last 5 years I’ve spent a few days there. Super relaxing, good luck prospecting!
Hey man, Im a 302 operator and for years i worked alongside a man named Lowell. Was the Lowell on your back glass, was he an operator by chance? If so what relation was he to you. He was a hell of an operator and a good guy, good to work with.

You should stop by sometime. The best part is the history of it all.
I need to get up there again this next summer. It is always a nice spot, besides when the bugs are really bad.

Awesome!! Yeah you gotta have thick rubber gloves or just sluice to keep your hands out of the water. Are you a miner or more of a prospector?
