even with all the bad rap the night gallery has gotten, and the fact that rod serling was against a lot of the programming, the votes here show that it really is well liked and it has a lot more fans than people seem to think!
Loved Night Gallery as a teenager. It scared me to bits and I craved more. I watched them again now in 2015 and they have the same creepy, thought provoking, scary effect on me. I love it!
It is interesting, on the show Biography, his wife talked about how Serling disliked his time on this show, unhappy because he was just used as a spokesman (although here it mentions he wrote 1/3 of the shows).
Thanks for posting this. Twilight Zone reruns were some of my favorites as a youth using my 9" Sony portable back in the 1970s, but Night Gallery first run shows were too frightening to watch most of the time! I remember one with a sin eater, another show had something to do with a bug in a guy's head that would eat his brain...that was nightmare stuff for a kid! I plan to watch the entire series now, maybe Outer Limits too. So many good shows, so little time.
Night Gallery remarkable series, loved the paintings adding more imaginations/interpretation to its genre. Wish they put it back on any public domain or T.V.. Don't make shows like this anymore. My favorite wad "green fingers". Many stars had roles in series, as did in Tales of crypt Miss these seriesNo one did it better than Rod Serling
Interesting to see Leonard Nimoy host this.......FACT: The show "In Search of..." actually had more than one pilot made in early 1975, all hosted by Rod Serling. He passed away before the show went into full syndication and they picked Leonard Nimoy as his replacement, too.
Brad Underwood i have seen every episode of the twilight zone, but I have never heard about this show. Should I see it, Is it just as good as twilight zone?
It's not as consistent as the Twilight Zone, but some episodes certainly capture the same magic. I suggest checking out the pilot movie and working your way from there.
Grew up watching this. Some faces of mine were "brenda, green fingers, you cant get help like that anymore, class of 1999,ghost in Dan's cafe, the different ones, little girl lost. "
besides the Night Gallery, was the Night Stalker, The Outer Limits, The Twilight Zone, Dark Shadows, The Time Tunnel and Journey to the Unknown and other creepy series.
Lindsay Wagner was not famous in this until "The Six Million Dollar Man made her a TV star and then the first timeshe finally got her own show called "The Bionic Woman" and she first won an Emmy award.
Rod Serling was one of the greatest--still is
The episodes Rod Serling hosted were classics. Got dumb after he no longer had control
He hosted them all! lol

RIP Leonard Nimoy and Rod Serling

this is truly an intelligent show,,, great storytelling,,, no need for blood and gore but is still creepy,,, rod serling is the best
It ended because Serling lost control of the show. Lame comic vignettes were introduced and the writing became noticeably weaker.
I loved Night Gallery!
Nimoy was also in the NG episode 'She'll Be Good Company For You." Rare to see Nimoy as a villain!

Night gallery scared the hell out of me as a kid. I watch them now at 50 and I smile! 😉.

A classic even after all these years
I've always loved this man,Rod Serling.
Camera Oscura scared the crap out of me as a kid. Which seems odd to me now because there are no scares. It was purely the atmosphere.
and the 1971 "night vision" green hue that was YEARS ahead of its time!
It was considered a treat to stay up and watch it!!
A man and show that made you fear the unknown in the best way you would enjoy being entertained eh 😱❤

Television misses shows like this, television back then had imagination ...........
Night Gallery was an excellent show. Very edgy for its time. It ended way too soon.
besides the Night Gallery, was the Night Stalker, The Outer Limits, The Twilight Zone, Dark Shadows, The Time Tunnel and Journey to the Unknown and other creepy series.
He taught me about earwigs.
Spock and the NG... awesome 👍
my favorite episode was the return of the sorcerer
Thank you so much. Subbed. Rod you're sorely missed by your fans, as well as your family and friends. Ditto for leonard nimoy❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Lindsay Wagner was not famous in this until "The Six Million Dollar Man made her a TV star and then the first timeshe finally got her own show called "The Bionic Woman" and she first won an Emmy award.
Dr. Spock, you're too analitical for this.Your Vulcan brain will explode trying to make up what happened in the stories.
Is that Leonard Nimoy!?!
I love the night gallery
Emilio Estevez said he was a big fan of the series and actually submitted a script but it was rejected. ☺
Oh, come on, Spock! You're not creepy!
yes! the best ever! I am thrilled to see others who watched the show when they were children. me too. scared me to death.
marmalade wine
RIP SERLING and NEMOY ! 😇
that Rod Serling looks a lot more younger and more modern as stylish on the Night Gallery then he did on the Twilight Zone.
night gallery was 1 of the best shows ever.
Do you know which episode had the scary witch doctor and a line like "I took the liberty to cut off your legs" ???
Thank you Bill for posting all 3 parts of this show, I am a huge fan of Night Gallery and the Original Twilight Zone!
Rod Sterling is how I remembered his name
I wish they would re run these. The witing room was my favorite.
It was called "Marmalade Wine."
I remember when he took over from Rod...
Just found out about this show wowwwww
Actually it was "amputate your feet"
