Great vid. The elevator screen for a layup wouldn't work because of how the defense plays. There will always be a help defender between the ball and hoop, therefore the shooter coming thru the sreen will always have a defender waiting. Hence why it is usually used for 3pt at the top of the key, there are no defenders just hanging out up there.
Thanks for this vid! While watching Coach Nicks vids, I'm always trailing behind all the terms. Doesn't help that here's no X's and O's most times, so i have no clue what's being talked about. Now this'll help with my understanding.
So much easier when someone explains the basics first. Good job. I would suggest more colored arrows and circles and more use of slow motion, but still very great work
An elevator screen for a layup would never work as the defence would have help under the basket by virtue of defensive fundamentals requiring you to position yourself between the player and the basket. They would just switch and contain the move
Hey coach I am trying to get some videos done like this for my youth players, what program do you use to add the circles lines & pause the clip? greatly appreciated, love the video.
True Christian Student Athletes I use Videopad video editor from 2012. I use paint for the circles and lines. If you have any more questions just ask. :)
+Coach Daniel I have been playing for a while and I think I have a pretty high basketball IQ, but are a down screen and a pin down the same thing, I have at times thought they are and at other times thought they are not.
Im actually ingame (2K) so cant find all my clips, but i have a clip of a euro-team using the reverse elevator for a center underneath the basket ^^ Ill post it here later /Coach J

I love off-ball screens so much man. San Antonio and Golden State use theirs so efficiently and proficiently

Great vid man, very informative
There should be an option to like an entire playlist, as all these vids are brilliant

Great video, I definitely would like to see more Basketball Vocab videos in the future.
Hey Coach! this is what i wrote about on discussion board! GREAT WORK!
Noted down everything... Thanks coach 🙏🏾
Looking forward to the Triangle video.
Thx.
Wow Amazing, hoping to see more of these videos
Hey, Coach Daniel can you make some vids about triangle offense. Thanks bro for sharing your thoughts.
Yes! I'm so glad you did this.
They should’ve called the elevator screen the bodyguard screen lol
Great job man. Very well-selected examples as well. You forgot the flex screen, but anyway. Well done
ΓΙΑΝΝΗΣ ΔOYΓAΛHΣ it’s the same as cross screen
0:59 cross screen is called a FLEX cut
Is a flex cut done when a corner man uses a cross-screen to get to the paint? Thanks!
Great video. I'm more confused than ever

Ben Ostrow Pretty much yes they are the same.

I'm a beginner and don't get any of this tbh sadly
Me neither. It's going WAY too fast to make any sense of it.
This is sick! (y)
