Ok I did it two ways I tied the fastex buckle to the latches from the shoulder harness with #36 tarred bank line then wrapped with electrical tape to secure it more and it looks better Step two was in the middle of the pack lid at the top edge on the seem I punched two holes even with the small metal grommets in the Alice belt itself ran more bank line through the holes in the pack lid and the grommets and tied them off really tight with square knots so that the middle of the ILBE pack lid had support in the middle as well as the sides If you have any more questions I’ll try and answer back as soon as possible hope this helps
I couldn’t believe it when the guy agreed to sell if for $30 it was on the fbook market place for a while so I figured why not ask and he went for it that and the sleep system for $50 although it’s just the bivy and cold weather bag that’s still a heck of a deal I think I spent all my good luck for a while on those gear acquisitions😂
@missourisurvivalandoutdoor9547 I wouldn't have hesitated for that price lol that just upped your game tremendously, I use the ilbe for my heavy pack and the military sleep system but you may not need the winter bag add a woobie to that patrol bag bivy combo and see how it works out. Obviously if you come across a screaming deal on a winter bag grab it but otherwise even just adding one of those heavy duty mylar blankets in there and the proper clothing you can go down pretty cold.
@alphaomegasurvivalsupply6548 that’s exactly what I was thinking get a good woobie like the one that has the zipper for the sleeping bag function and it would work fine for the intermediate temps I was just too good of a deal to not get. I’m always in flea markets looking for good durable surplus gear when I’ve got spare cash and the Facebook marketplace has a bunch of good deals too
@alphaomegasurvivalsupply6548 I’m trying to have enough good gear for my household and if I can swing it extra for my brother and extend family some of which prepare for the future too so hopefully with everyone preparing we will have enough gear food ammo and medical to get by
Gear is supposed to look best up and abused.
Well done brother 🏴☠️🇺🇲🏴☠️
It is definitely supposed to be beat up if it’s not it hasn’t been used enough
Hi, How did you attach the ilbe pack lid to the belt? Great video!! Thanks for sharing!

@@missourisurvivalandoutdoor9547 thanks!!
That was a score on that ILBE, I have 2 of them but they definitely weren't that cheap 🤣. They are a great pack though and can handle the abuse 👍.

@missourisurvivalandoutdoor9547 make everyday count my friend 😉👍
Try “one wrap” Velcro instead of tape.
Good pack especially for the price 💰
It don't matter if it looks good or you can save money it's a win win as long as it works good for the person using it
Exactly
👍
