as someone who's from the edge of Limpopo and Mpumalanga; the problem with my area is leadership. We need lights, tap water and we have a mineral that could be mined but our Chief and his family are saying no to all of that. With lights they claim it will disturb livestock, with water they say because our homes are to in grid formation the task is too difficult and with the mine well it's too close their home. Now with government, things move too slowly and it seems relation or connection with the Chief's family and comrades is required. It also doesn't help that our culture takes age hierarchy very seriously thus making it difficult for young people to lead and transform things at a faster pace.
listen to your elders. they are not saying no to be unreasonable. the world is full of vultures who will think nothing of the negative effects on your town if there's something worth mining. there are places where people get sick or where whole towns are destroyed due to mining activity. it sounds like you still have a natural life, while it may seem like a bad thing to you, the city life with all its lights comes with it's own problems. it's not just the cattIe that gets affected but people change. NIght time which is meant for sleeping, now with lights you end up seeing people get into all the wrong activities at night. there's a whole worldwide shift of people wanting to leave the cities and go back to the simplicity of viIIage and rural life. not all that glitters is gold.

I am from the Eastern Cape. We have 3 Port Terminals. •2 in Gqeberha •1 in East London Yet. Our Province is poor. Societal Growth is dependent on many things. •Political Leadership that creates an environment that enables people to be productive. For example, Eastern Cape is rich in Medicinal Plants. But the people own none of the Land where those medicinal plants grow. •Rural Development - which would unlock production possibilities. What is the Department of Economic Development doing about these •Then, from an entrepreneurial perspective: •There's too much Red Tape to Gates of entry •People with the Resources to start businesses in the Eastern Cape don't have the Political drive to do so So we need people of the Eastern Cape to unify, organize & begin to fight for progress, both personal & societal.
I certainly agree that there is too much red tape. This contributes to people with resources not having the drive to start businesses. The process of starting a business can be very complicated for individuals just looking to buy and sell. We need easier digital solutions for starting a business. Regarding your point about the "Eastern Cape being rich in medicinal plants, but the people owning none of the land where these plants grow": The challenge with these industries is that on a smaller scale, there is likely no profit margin to be made. It would probably be cheaper to get the same pound-for-pound product from China. So, you either destabilize relations with China by heavily taxing imported goods to give local products a competitive edge, or you focus on job creation and use economies of scale to compete on price. All in all, I think we need more entrepreneurial literacy. With increased entrepreneurial knowledge, individuals can take advantage of globalization, negotiate partnership deals with suppliers around the world, and trade effectively. This can bring goods that benefit their communities. As operations grow, employment opportunities within the economy will increase, creating a ripple effect. Entrepreneurs might also find niche markets abroad, allowing them to brand their own medicinal products and price them as premium products. This all starts with will power from communities, right role models, and the right policies to fall in place.

Zimbabwe is a complex one to tackle, but the long and short of it the efforts of your work is tied to governance. The economy will dictate that you work extremely hard just to survive. By the time you have scraped through now you want to build infrastructure when you have expired your strength surviving. Per chance you start making it… rest assured someone well connected will come through and swoop in on whatever lane you have curved out. I am simplifying it, but it’s a fairly common story.

Xenophobia is a complex issue. People in almost every township have grown up with Mozambiqians and Zimbabweans in their townships. Same thing with my mother's generation. We've lived with fellow Africans with no issue. The advent of criminal and violent outbursts to foreigners, in recent times, is not a simple "South Africans are Xenophobic". That's unfair to us.
Building and nurturing xenophobia between MicroNations (so-called tribes), especially covertly, is an essential element of maintaining control utilized by colonizers against us everywhere on the globe. In countries like the U.S. or Canada, when there were not actual Black immigrants from outside the country to use as a foil, divisions between communities based on region would be highlighted, e.g. north/south or rural/urban. Sometimes groups within communities---gangs--- would be supported and manipulated by government security forces to manufacture or augment real or imagined conflicts. And, of course, there's always class and financial status. It is crucial to people of pallor, if they are to remain in control of us within this system they run, that we remain disunited; that we devalue and move away from communalism but rather gallop and drool after individualism.
The mould statement is incorrect. There’s a factory in Durban (Chatsworth) owned by an indian family with highly advanced equipment using their own moulds and manufactures some footwear for one of the biggest sportswear brands globally.
School uniform must evolve beyond white shirts and formal shoes. It's impractical for kids and kids in Africa, in particular. Along with blazers, straw hats & the like.

How similar or different is Limpopo from Zimbabwe? Highly educated, very hardworking people... but whose areas are poor. What is the issue and how do we resolve it?
I don't think it is unique to Limpopo but the whole country lives with the mentality that government must/will solve our problems
Zimbabwe is a complex one to tackle, but the long and short of it the efforts of your work is tied to governance.
The economy will dictate that you work extremely hard just to survive. By the time you have scraped through now you want to build infrastructure when you have expired your strength surviving.
Per chance you start making it… rest assured someone well connected will come through and swoop in on whatever lane you have curved out. I am simplifying it, but it’s a fairly common story.

Xenophobia is a complex issue. People in almost every township have grown up with Mozambiqians and Zimbabweans in their townships. Same thing with my mother's generation. We've lived with fellow Africans with no issue.
The advent of criminal and violent outbursts to foreigners, in recent times, is not a simple "South Africans are Xenophobic". That's unfair to us.
Building and nurturing xenophobia between MicroNations (so-called tribes), especially covertly, is an essential element of maintaining control utilized by colonizers against us everywhere on the globe.
In countries like the U.S. or Canada, when there were not actual Black immigrants from outside the country to use as a foil, divisions between communities based on region would be highlighted, e.g. north/south or rural/urban.
Sometimes groups within communities---gangs--- would be supported and manipulated by government security forces to manufacture or augment real or imagined conflicts. And, of course, there's always class and financial status.
It is crucial to people of pallor, if they are to remain in control of us within this system they run, that we remain disunited; that we devalue and move away from communalism but rather gallop and drool after individualism.

The mould statement is incorrect. There’s a factory in Durban (Chatsworth) owned by an indian family with highly advanced equipment using their own moulds and manufactures some footwear for one of the biggest sportswear brands globally.

I'd like to dispell the notion you've mentioned about limpopo and the Eastern Cape being the poorest provinces, looking at provincial gdp, Limpopo is ranked 5th while the Eastern Cape is ranked 6th
North West, northern cape and the free state are all poorer than these 2 provinces
Does this factor GDP per capita?
And the median of income and social welfare recipients in the provinces?
