Fingering pattern for 3-octave scales

You can play 3 and even FOUR octave scales on the cello with this standard fingering pattern: 1-2, 1-2, 1-2-3. Keep a whole step between 1st & 2nd fingers; 3rd finger on top is CLOSE to 2nd.
