Certainly Farrell polarises opinion amongst fans but why would he be hated ? He is just a rugby player. Neil Jenkins was the first over 1000 points, but he wasn’t good at much else than kicking and so he is rarely spoken about as a great.

Ben Walker Better player but remains to be seen whether he's a better captain. In fact, England haven't really won any silverware under Farrell but they won a grand slam and 3-0 series in Australia with Hartley. What Hartley brought was (ironically) a calm head when it came to dealing with Refs and someone who could get the team to grind out a win when things weren't going their way. Haven't seen Faz do that for England yet.

But it makes it hard to see the woods for the trees with his behaviour. If my behaviour was terrible at work I'd expect people to pick me up on it. The same goes for sports stars I'm afraid.

Wow winger in side steps static centre in game shocker. Seriously though if Kolbe couldn’t outstep Farrell in broken play he wouldn’t be anything special. I get you enjoyed the try but it is hardly noteworthy in terms of Kolbes skills and pace.

He was always a good player. A team and a community person. Was never a selfish player and person. He was there for the experience, fun and the enjoyment. Never took the game too seriously but he was always confident in himself and with the club and team that he was with.
Physical, technical, he had all to be the new Wilco. But… cause his mind an behaviour, he ´ s just a very very goodplayer with a football spirit. In France, in the middle of the night, Wilkinson, who has kickassed french team many times, can ask for help at every house, he is more than welcomed. Farell, travelling by France, ought to wear a mask !

Ben Walker Better player but remains to be seen whether he's a better captain. In fact, England haven't really won any silverware under Farrell but they won a grand slam and 3-0 series in Australia with Hartley. What Hartley brought was (ironically) a calm head when it came to dealing with Refs and someone who could get the team to grind out a win when things weren't going their way. Haven't seen Faz do that for England yet.
